It is a nice added feature to your KitchenAid mixer. This is one of the best tools that you can add on to an already great kitchen tool. The food grinder has the same quality that we have all come to expect from KitchenAid products.

Makes the best Hambergers!

I first thought that grinding meat was a big deal, it's not. This grinder works great I love it! The only thing that you have to make shure is that the ring that holds the grinding plate it place is not too tight.This will put exsessive stran on the motor.
I put it on just untill it stops and no more, because the auger is pushing the meat aganst the plate with alot of presher and keeps the ring tight. Makeing the ring too tight will most likely burn up the motor in your mixer. I hope that this helps anyone who has had this problem.

The fit is excellent and the disassembly for cleaning is simple. For light duty use this product fits my needs to a tee.

This was a replacement for my original, and I look forward to using it. I used to grind all my own hamburger, and with the restrictions on eating rare burgers now, I want to do so again. I've read that it's safer to eat them rare, if you grind your own.
