Stonewall Kitchen was voted "Outstanding Product Line" at the 2002 NASFT Fancy Foods Show in New York.

This pancake and waffle mix was developed by Fred S. Carbon in 1937, a recipe that's been shared among Carbon family members ever since. Introduced to the Stonewall Kitchen owners and staff, it soon became an instant hit -- one that they now carry along with their other lines of exceptional, fine-quality foods. The mix, made with wheat, cornmeal and malt, is responsible for pancakes and waffles that are wonderfully light and fluffy (the best you'll ever have, according to one Stonewall Kitchen staff person). Served with Stonewall Kitchen's Maine Maple Syrup or one of their award winning jams, they'll be an instant favorite at your home at both brisk morning breakfasts and cozy evening suppers.

We have only tried it as waffle mix so far...it was good, but not better than home-made!

Malty Good Waffles

Got the 33 oz Original Farmhouse Pancake and Waffle Mix gratus with my waffle iron order. Tried it ans loved its sweet malty aroma and flavor. Just as crisp and nice as the overnight yeasted waffles, but so much easier. Will buy many more canisters of this wonderful product.
Thanks for making it part of my kitchen.

Good taste and makes the house smell good too

The waffle mix is very good. The waffles have an excellent texture and great taste. Hours after the waffle is cooked the house has a pleasant smell too. I cook the waffles fairly well done and the outside is crisp and the outside is smooth and very professional looking.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Remember when using a waffle iron not to over-fill it. The batter will spread when you close the iron, so if you put in too much, you'll be in for a messy situation.
