I love this. It is big enough to fit several loaves of bread, bagels, anything. The top is flat so one can place items on top saving countertop space. The door opens downward and very smoothly.

I liked the bread box so much that I ordered another one. It is a great product and really keeps breads, cookies etc. fresh. I always seemed to have a problem with bread drying out and I don't like to keep it in the refrigerator. I had a wooden bread box, but it didn't not get the bread fresh for very long. This one seems to do the trick. Thank you for a good product.

I love our new breadbox!

I ordered this breadbox after reading many customer reviews and I agree with all of them. This is a great breadbox. We keep our loaves of bread in the frig, but used to have lots of clutter all over our counter top - crackers, cookies, etc - which now live in the breadbox. Our small kitchen seems so much larger and brighter now. I would recommend this breadbox to everyone!

Brabantia Bread Box

Overall the bread box is a good addition to the kitchen. It is light weight with a firm shutting door. For someone with stainless steel kitchen appliances it has a nice appearance.

My only criticism is that the back of the bread box has two holes in the back. Presumably these holes are for hanging but there were no screws. Unfortunately, the size of the hole openings is enough to allow roaches and other insects to invade the bread box. This is the reason I brought the bread box in the first pace - to guard against roaches.

Other than this criticism the bread box was fine, although I thought that the price for the item was more than it was worth. But, that's one of the chances you take when you order, sight unseen, off the Internet.

Nice, attractive bread box. Roomier than I thought it would be. Easy to keep clean.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Have some day-old bread lying around? Don't toss it; instead, use it to make delicious French toast for breakfast, or cut up into cubes to make homemade stuffing, bread pudding, or croutons.
