I have searched for a quality combo machine like this one. It makes great coffee, easy clean-up, and detailed instruction for use. i would recommend to any one debating to purchase to get you hands on it before they dont sell it anymore.
Great product. We have already saved a ton by not going to starbucks! I was very disapointed with shipping, it took over three weeks to arrive.
This coffee maker makes a perfect cup of regular coffee and a glorious cup of expresso or capuchinno. It was easy to follow the directions and make any beverage. I would highly recommend this model because of its performance and economical price.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son and his fiance. They just love it! The biggest selling point for me was the convenience of having more than one coffee option in the same product. I figured that if the espresso function wasn't a big hit, they would still use the coffeemaker function. The best part is that they use both all the time. This product is also an excellent value. The prices for coffee and espresso makers are all over the place, and this one offered so much for the price.
Over all I like the way It works now that I learned how to get it to steam the milk, <br>Thats what I get for not reading the instructions. But now it is great
The product was very easy to use and produced excellent results. However, it would be a good thing for the price if a frothing pitcher was included (which it is not).
This machine is very easy to use and takes up less counter space than two separate machines. I do like the way you can stop the steam or brewing mid-cycle in case you need to add more milk etc. It just makes things easier. It would also be nice if it would come with a frothing pitcher, but most machines don't.
works great! makes wonderful latte's! No automatic shut off is a little invonvenient, but overall a great value.
As shown in the picture above, a metal pitcher for steaming the milk looks like it is included - it is not and you must go purchsae one. Also, I didn't realize that it doesn't have a timer on it for premaking your coffee. I prefer to have my coffee waiting for me in the morning, but overall I like the coffee that it makes and have not yet used the espresso part of the machine (no pitcher).
After several years of asking very nicely, my boss finally agreed to buy an espresso machine for the office - the only caveat was that it do coffee as well. I really like the espresso side - my afternoon capuccinos are lovely. <br><br>There are several cons to this model, however:<br>The unit does not come, surprisingly, with a milk frother.<br>The frothing pipe is very close to the unit itself and makes steaming a little tricky.<br>The regular coffee unit is slow as molasses.<br><br>The pros:<br>Makes great espresso/capuccino.<br>Piping hot.
I bought this particular brand based mostly on other reviews for similar products and on a coworkers recommendation, he has another model but I didn't need all those particular bells and whistles so settled on this one. I think it has been a good purchase, I had a little trouble with the steamer at first but after asking for pointers I think I have it down pretty good now. This makes very good coffee and really is quite easy to operate now that I know what I am doing. Like some of the other reviews I read, the steamer would be nicer if it were a little higher up, I had to get a smaller stainless pitcher that really only makes one (large) serving of milk, if it were up higher you could do more, and I wish you could do both at once, make coffee and a latte, but all and all I am glad I purchased this I am having fun with it.
The machine is pretty big. Takes up a lot of counter space so beware of that. The steamer nozzle is hard to use cause it's so close to the counter top, making it hard to steam the full container of milk properly. <br>Also, the machine does not come with a metal steaming container for the milk. You have to get this separately. <br>The coffee side of the machine is great though. <br>Overall, not a bad machine for $100.
I ignored other reviews because I was so taken with the idea of combination espresso and coffee maker - big mistake! I haven't actually used the espresso maker, so I cannot comment on it. The coffee maker, however, rather less than I'd hoped for. The door is very difficult to open because it is so tight and lacks a decent handle; it ends up hurting my finger tips. Also, it lacks an automatic shut off. And finally, it is slow! I'm disappointed, as in the past, I've had good coffee makers from Krups. This one is a dud, though. I'm sending it back and getting one that doesn't hurt me when I try to use it.
Searched on the internet fora a product made in AMERICA, was let to this product and cooking.com to order it. Purchased product, this product was made in China, which I am not happy about! Very disappointed!
I assumed for the price that it would have a clock and timer (basic to even the most inexpensive coffee makers). When it arrived and I realized this deficiency I returned it immediately.
