I LOVE this aebleskiver pan! I almost bought the fancy non-stick version for a lot more money, then decided to give this a try. My kids and I use it at least once a week, often more. All you need is a good basic recipe and the patience to let it heat slowly and completely before dropping in the batter. And it really is non-stick. Great product!
The cast iron will scratch your glass-top stove so I tried it in the oven. It works better around 500 degrees. You can even try corn bread but season the pan and use butter to keep it from sticking.
I have made Aebleskivers for years and with this pan they turned out better than I've ever had them before. I like the small size and yet gives exactly the same amount of aebelskivers as the larger ones. It was perfect.
The pan is fun to use. Makes small rounds pancakes with fillings, like flat donuts.
I seasoned the pan first and the pancakes didn't stick.
The pan came with odd drip marks that looked like varnish, in several of the depressions. No amount of scrubbing would take it off.
This item is well made and cooks very well and even. It"s a great price for the value. I would recommend very highly

Here's a trick to remember the next time you're cooking with something leafy like cilantro: to quickly separate the leaves from the stems, hold the stems in one hand and shave the leaves off with a super-sharp chef's knife.
