I was delighted with the stock pot when it arrived. When I used it for the first time, (and according to the directions) my experience was not happy. I tried to use it as a spaghetti sauce pan, frying the garlic, etc., in oil and then tomatoes, etc. Everything stuck to the bottom and even with a wood spoon, it was difficult to remove particles stuck to the bottom of the pan. I did not exceed the recommendations that came with the pan. Ok, after all was done, and the sauce/gravy made, when it came to cleanup, the burnt stuff required a lot of soaking and brillo. The brillo pads scratched the enamel (the directions said not to use it) but I had no choice as the burnt on stuff would not come off with anything else. So, I learned the hard way. Stock pots made of this material are strictly for boiling, nothing else. If you want to make a spaghetti sauce, don't use this pan.
If need a pot to warm milk for your small child or steaming 3 cups of rice, this is great. The pot is more of a 2-qt than a 6-qt. I cannot even get a good pot of soup out of this for myself for a couple days. The color is great, although I expected the pot to have a thick base to it.
Nice-looking, well-made pot, perfect size to boil a pound of pasta or make a small soup. A little lighter weight than I expected, but still an attractive useful pot.
It is the perfect size when you are cooking for two.
the size of this pot is great, it is lightweight, yet sturdy and durable and easy to clean, and all at a great price. Even though I don't entertain and have a small family, I cook alot and I do catering work and work in many different houses and use products that range from inexpensive to top of the line, so I really appreciate a product that is so versatile.thanks.
