I have had a Krups Egg Cooker for 3 yrs and its been one of the best cookware I have ever owned. I probably cooked over 2400 eggs in this period, mostly at 3 eggs at a time and is still performing well. I choose to buy 2 more units, one for a xmas present and the other for my self as a extra as I have had a hard time finding this unit in department stores. When I found this unit on "cooking. com" I was relieved but was'nt going to take any chances in not finding this unit in the future, so I bought a extra. In conclusion, this is a Great unit.

Our family likes hard-boiled eggs, and since we did not have a machine that does it, and this was so reasonably priced (and from Krups, which we have had very good luck with) we decided to give it a try. The machine is very simple to operate: measure the amount of water in the flask supplied according to number of eggs and type of cooking (soft, medium, hard boiled), pierce the eggs with the needle on the bottom of the flask, put the top on and go. As I mentioned, our family prefers hard boiled eggs, so that's all we've tried. The eggs come out perfectly no matter how many we make at one time. Careful, they are very, very hot. There is a small amount of cleanup on the base of the machine after boiling but it is easy with a small amount of soap/water and a non-stick scrub sponge. You can also poach eggs with enclosed inserts, which we have not tried yet. Overall, we are very pleased with the simplicity and speed of this egg cooker.

The Krups Egg Cooker and Poacher is a great product. My mother had a similar item in her kitchen that she has been using for over 50 years. I was very happy to find one of these on Cooking.com because my family enjoys hard-boiled eggs, and always complained that eggs cooked in boiling water were hard to peel. Using the Krups egg cooker, hard-boiled eggs cook quickly, and are very easy to peel!

It cooks eggs just perfect every time without having to watch the clock - poached, soft cooked, hard cooked - it does it just right.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Poached eggs are great for brunches. You can even make them ahead of time, then store in the fridge in plastic containers filled with cold water. Heat them in simmering water when you're ready to serve.
