Worst product and online buying experience

Paid $25 plus $5 shipping. Received the product in ugly green (not as shown in picture), slow spin, too many parts and hard to clean. Called customer service to return and I was told that I have to pay the return shipping, which is $13 at usps. I'll loose $18 if I return it. I just have to throw it in the garbage or donate.

Well for the price it was a little high, because of its limited use. But I purchased it for my daughter, she seems to like it, so I guess it was worth the money

Difficult to stabilize salad spinner
by Joan, IL

Spinner top wants to fly off while pulling on the cord. It's a workout to increase the speed. It's also not convenient to have to empty the large bowl of water so it doens't keep the contents wet. I would prefer a spinner that has a perforated large bowl. This large bowl can be used as a salad bowl but it's only dishwasher safe on the top rack and that's not so convenient. I think the design flaws are significant so I would not recommend it.

A nice improvement on the original. Easy to clean and no batteries required.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Buying whole lettuce heads lets you choose what's in your salad. Toss chopped lettuce leaves into a large bowl of water, then lift them out to leave the grit behind. Use a salad spinner to remove the excess water for a crisp and crunchy salad.
