This ample-sized cooker allows you to prepare a whole chicken, up to a 4-lb. roast, soups, stews - even a cheesecake for dessert. You'll find it's the perfect size for serving 6-8 hungry guests or family members, especially when you're strapped for time. This Duromatic cooker decreases cooking time up to one-third without sacrificing flavor or nutrients. In addition, the spring-loaded valve takes away the guesswork of cooking by offering visual indicators for you to see the exact pressure so you can plan your cooking accordingly. Unlike pressure cookers of yesteryear, you'll never experience noisy steam escaping or mushy food! The integrated lid-locking system offers no fewer than five safety release systems. Perhaps most important is that you can cook high-fiber, low-fat foods in record time while preserving essential vitamins and nutrients - and conserving energy! The 18/10 stainless surface won't interact with food; interior fill lines prevent overfilling. Comes with a Quick Cuisine cookbook that includes delicious recipes for everything from savory dishes to desserts.
Part of the Kuhn Rikon family of products, Duromatic pressure cookers are made by experts with more than 50 years experience in their field. Each cooker combines the latest technology with top-notch quality. Their safety design has set the standard worldwide.

Because of a health issue I was searching for a method to cook meat and puoltry that would render the most tender recipes. Frankly I was skeptical that a pressure cooker would fit the bill. But to my surprise it works beautifully. My wife and I can pick up a few ingredients on the way home from work and have dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes. There are excellent one-pot cookbooks in print that give dozens of easy to prepare recipes. I am completely satisfied.
I've been hesitant to buy a pressure cooker for many years, as I remember my mother's cooker and all that hassle. But today's pressure cookers are easy and less scary. I made a beef stew and the meat was so tender and tasty. It's my new favorite kitchen tool!
There is no substitute for quality. This pressure cooker is beautifully made, saves time and has cooked our food to perfection. I don't know how we managed without one before.
I have a pressure cooker I have used for 25 years and it is getting old. I didn't realize HOW old until I used this new one. It cooks so very quickly. It is so easy to reduce the pressure. It has a heavyduty metal so things don't burn. I like it so much that I am hoping to buy other sizes of the same design. I think Al Gore would like this product, as one uses very little fuel to cook nutritious, great-tasting foods.
This is the best pressure cooker I have ever seen and I highly recommend it to anyone. The safety and ease of use is incomparable to others I have seen and used. It is far above the quality I had expected in this type of product.
You can get extra mileage out of your pressure cooker by using the bottom pan section as a saucepan when cooking larger quantities on the stovetop.
