I'm completely delighted with my Duo Pressure Cooker by Fagor. I had a cheaper pressure cooker before and it was ok, but this is the cadillac of them all. I actually look for excuses to use it.

Thank You.

The lower rating is a refIection of ease of use for a novice using Fagor's less-than-simple instruction booklet. I would recommend this cookware, but with a proviso. It is somewhat difficult to get the knack of cooking things just right. I have been using the booklet's advise, and come out with mush or undercooked items. Be prepared to experiment a little if you have not used a pressure cooker in the past. If you are a pressure cooker pro, this pot will be sure to please. It is well constructed and easy to clean.

Great for high altitude cooking
by Joanne, CO

I grew up learning to cook at sea level in California. Moving to 7000 feet in Colorado has been an adjustment in learning how to cook with less atmosphere. (Water boils at only 93C up here.) I was never able to soak and cook dried beans long enough to get them fully done. This pressure cooker enabled me to thoroughly cook black beans in only one hour (after soaking for 24 hours). I have also tried other foods with great success, but the beans are the big winner. Now I can simulate a sea level boiling point with the pressure cooker.

First Pressure Cook was a Great Choice
by Timothy, NY

I've heard and read so much about pressure cookers, I thought I'd try one. Shopping with Cooking.com, I chose the Fagor 8 quart model, and to say the least, I'm a very happy pressure cooker now. The price was right, the size was right, and the construction is superior. Great, easy to read instructions, and nice recipe book enclosed.

Highly recommend this Fagor product to everyone for a more nutritional cooking routine, and time saver!

New to pressure cooking
by William, PA

Pressure cooking is a radically different way to cook a variety of foods. There is definitely a learning curve. I am having difficulty becoming comfortable with the use of this product. Apparently the gasket should be cleaned, inspected and oiled after every use. I had trouble knowing when I had achieved the proper temperature because the pressure regulator stuck the first several times I used the cooker. I have had good results cooking various meats, vegetables, legumes and rice.
