Its quicker to get this streamline version of a madoline then the large one I had purchased from a nother maker which was big and bulky and I didnt have a straight blade it was the v shapped blade. I really prefer the ease and comfort of this one and will continue to order till they offer replacement blades for them.

This was my first use with a Mandoline. It worked beautifully. Easily cut through vegetables like butter. Slices were uniform and very thin. Exactly what I wanted. Love this!!

Just what I hoped for

This slicer is exactly what it purports to be: an excellent slicer for thin slicing. It is very sharp, making short work of raw vegetables. The hand guard functions easily and holds food well. All it would need to achieve perfection is a little more width so I could make bigger potato chips. I am very pleased with this item and am considering it as a gift for my daughter and son-in-law.

The unique thing about this product for me is the ceramic blade. I so very pleased with how sharp it is and the fact that being ceramic it will not corrode.

Ceramic mandoline slicer

I purchased this item after an unsuccessful search for a Swedish slicer I have had for 35 years. It is almost as good, and I am very pleased. Now let's see how long this one will hold up! The great thing about this product is the clean-up factor. Rinse and you are done.

If you want a mandoline that will give up paper thin slices, then this is the one for you. VERY, very sharp and with the double edge, slicing onions or peppers or potatoes are a snap. Never have had a slicer like this one. I'm planning on buying one for my son and daughter as well as getting another one for the lake house. The red color is very nice too.

Good but the holder isn't sturdy

This slicer was recommended to me and I like it because it is very sharp! The holder is not very strong though and it's "teeth" don't hold well so I can't use it as all.

The mandline slicer works just great. The blade is razor sharp and slices garlic and potatoes like a hot knife through butter. With the handguard, safety is alway assured. A very good tool for my kitchen, and one I would recommend.

It performs as it says it will, with paper-thin slices. I would have liked to have had a clamp or something to hold the hand guard with the slicer, but I am using a rubber band, and hanging it on my wall of gadgets.

Good slicer but the hand guard does not attach to it for storage so it makes the blade a bit of a risk. Very sharp...makes paper thin slices.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Make your own potato chips with a slicer. You'll need one of these in order to get the potatoes thin enough. Once you have them cut, fry in peanut oil for an addictive delicious snack.
