I did not realize this product was not adjustable. I had an advertisement showing the product as adjustable and looking exactly like the one I found on your website. Since I could not adjust the thickness of my slices it was not usable for my needs and therefore I have returned the product.

Mandoline Slicer

I love this slicer so much, I bought one as a gift for my mom. It's not as expensive as a professional mandoline slicer and you get the same effect: Perfect, thin slices. Great for apples and potatoes au gratin. My brother loves taffy apples, so I slice up the apple, pour caramel over it, and whipped cream-it's delicious! Potato dishes turn out fabulous. The handguard works so well--you can pretty much use every portion of whatever you are slicing. It's also easy to wash, easy to store. I love the look of it. WARNING: If you need thick slices, this product will not help you.

The unit provides very thin slices and is very quick and easy to use and store. Cleans easily. It is exactly what I was looking for, something readily available to thinly slice vegetables, dried sausages and cheeses.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Make your own potato chips with a slicer. You'll need one of these in order to get the potatoes thin enough. Once you have them cut, fry in peanut oil for an addictive delicious snack.
