I love the Food Network and the people involved with the Food Network. I am a huge fan of the Food Network and watch it anytime I can. I felt that this is a safe and trustworthy charity as it works in conjunction with the Food Network. I also like that donations stay here in our country to help our own people. There are so many people within our own country that need help. Thank you for taking part in that.

What a GREAT idea--teaching kids to eat right
    by Janelle, NM

I was glad to be able to help donate to such a worthy cause. Everyone should be able to know not only what to eat, but how to eat and how to prepare it. Enabling others to learn more about healthy food, how to grow it and how to cook it is a wonderful outreach program.

    Easy and Important Donation
    by Barbara , MD

I gave these donation tags to 8 small children along with small gifts for Christmas. Even a 5 year old child understands that there are other children not as fortunate as she is and was happy to have her name on the card--she asked me if next year if she could use her allowance money to feed a hungry child---All the cards were received well from the 5 year old to the 9 year old...they certainly understood that giving is as important as receiving---and next year we all promised to sit at the computer together and make our donation together! I think their "donation gift" was actually better than their small present from me....warms your heart to know some of our future adults are caring and wise.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Be conscious of adding salt to a recipe if you're cooking with typically high-sodium ingredients such as chicken broth or feta cheese. If they already have a lot of salt in them, then you'll want to take care not to add too much additional salt to the dish.
