Schott Zwiesel (a brand of Zwiesel Kristallglas, AG) has a 130 year history of innovation and success, including such break through developments as the first machine made stemware and the first lead-free crystal glass. With the introduction of the proprietary Tritan® Crystal technique (the result of special additives such as titanium with a unique tempering process) Zwiesel has once again revolutionized the industry. Rigorous laboratory testing proves the brilliance, dishwasher safety, and break resistance of Tritan. Highly resistant to chipping and breaking even at its most sensitive areas - the rim and at the points where the stem joins the bowl and the foot. The glasses stand up to daily use and thousands of cycles in your dishwasher, without any blemishes or loss of brilliance.

Sexy glasses

I'm not a wine geek, and these glasses will make sure that I will not become one - because they make inexpensive wines taste so good! They also look sexy and have taken my wine drinking experience to a new level. Not only are they a great value now, but will save you money in the long run by keeping you from buying the more expensive wine.

Great glasses

We love these things. We are fairly new to wine and didn't think these would really matter. We were wrong, they make the wine smell and taste better. It opens up the flovrs and aromas. The glasses are thin but extremely tough. My wife has already accidently dropped on and it didn't break. Love them

I love these large glasses and they look stunning for an elegant dinner party with a great wine. I will be ordering more, and they don't break like some of the other leading stemware. Great!

More durable than Reidel
by Irene, IL
February 2, 2008

Yes, the Reidels are thinner and make the wine taste a bit better. But we broke two Reidel classes within just a few uses. Too fragile, too expensive. So glad that I found out about these. They are really tall so check that your shelves can accommodate them. A good value for glasses that last.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Have you seen the wine category "Super Tuscan" on a wine list and wondered what really makes it 'super'? The term Super Tuscan simply means that the wine has been made from a combination of grapes that's not included in the Italian government's traditional blending laws, and therefore is ineligible to be given an official appellation label. However, despite their seemingly outlaw status, they're usually wonderful wines, so give one a try next time you see them on the wine list.
