Nice quality, but set is missing some useful pieces.

Set could use a boning knife, as I do a lot of boning and fileting.

Also, would like to have a pair of kitchen shears as part of the set.

Great value for the set, but not as sharp as I would have thought. Although there are different variations of Henkel Knives. I would recommend if you are the average cook and not looking for something more extravagant.

I am enjoying my new knives very much. I already had a set of Henckels steak knives, so I knew the brand was trustworthy, but these are very good knives for every day cooks like me. The price is right too. Another review mentioned they wished they were a little heavier, and I agree, but I'm also not a chef. I am enjoying them, and having to remember they aren't my old, dull, cruddy Walmart knives, so be careful, they are sharp!

Great balance of price and quality

For the high quality of these knives and block, the price is excellent. The knives have held an edge nicely with pretty much daily use and I enjoy the feel of the handles while cutting. The graphite block is very presentable and looks nice on my counter.
In my opinion, this set is very well constructed and was simply a great purchase at this price.

Please note that if you are looking at buying this that the block comes with two open slots so you can add knives later if you wish. Just like any other stainless steel items, if you was these in your dishwasher you're likely to have water spots afterward, so like the listing says, definitely hand wash these if you can.

    Excellent knife set. Just excellent.

Never immerse mushrooms in water to clean them- they'll lose their flavor and turn soggy. Instead, just give them a quick wipe with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt.
