I've had the original Brewstation for a few years. Other than a broken plastic bail on the tank, it has served us well the whole time.

I heard about the new version from a co-worker, but was disappointed at its lack of availablilty for several months after its announcement. I was delighted to see it available on Cooking.com, and ordered it as soon as it was announced.

The new version has several improvements over the original - the most notable is the much-more visible clock (with program status), and the feature that allows me to increase the auto-shutoff timing to 4 hours.

An added bonus is its ability to accommodate taller travel mugs, and its better placement of the drip-tray. I always had to place a folded paper towel in front of the other unit, because the inevitable drips always landed on the counter. That being said, the new unit has (so far) not dripped at all after dispensing a cup.

The Deluxe Brew Station is Excellant! I love the over all appearance!, and the bonus of having a chioce as to how long(up to 4hours!) I can keep my coffee warm is so convenient. The way it is designed, I can even get my extra tall cup under the dispenser! This is by far the Best Coffee Maker I have Purchased!

My wife & I have been looking at different coffee pot for about 1 month, we finally decided to purchase a Hamilton Beech Platinum Deluxe Brew Station at several discount stores this same coffee pot was about 8 to 10 higher that what I found on the internet at cooking.com plus I received free delevery. Some places on the internet showed at the same price as cooking .com but the didnot include the perminate coffee filter the added $10.00 for the filter.
After I ordered it from Cooking.com I received it a on the day they said I would.

I have the coffee pot I wanted.
However, I am VERY disappointed with the manner in which you handled my order. You need to understand this was MY Christmas gift from my husband. He said "buy your self something you want"--Mr Romance!
I had been searching online for several days looking for that particular model. Cooking.com offered to email me when the coffee pot was available. Of course I selected that option. The very next day I got an email that it was "now available". I placed my order, and received an email confirmation that I would receive the order on Dec 17. On Dec 17, after UPS had delivered other things, I called and was told you "planned to ship my order Jan 5"! I had received NO emails indicating a delay.
My opinion is that you sold something you didn't have on hand and you had no idea when you would receive it. You achieved what you wanted--I stopped shopping! I had been in many stores that MIGHT have had that pot, but I never looked.
Interestingly, when I called the evening of the 17th and was told they "planned" to ship Jan 5--and I complained loud and long--I was told NO pots were available. However, clearly the next day someone found the product and shipped my order. But by the time it arrived, we had left town for the entire week; so I still didn't have a Christmas gift.
It was nice to have received it when we returned and luckily my neighbor took it in so it wouldn't be ruined in the freezing weather or stolen.
So you might say everything ended well. Except for what I feel now was very bad business management on Cooking.com's part. I feel used. I will never order anything again from Cooking.com that is time sensitive. You could have sent me an email at any time saying you would not meet your shipping date and I could have had the option to see if I could find the product elsewhere. But you didn't want to do that did you? This is my big concern. You just didn't care how I felt; you just wanted to sell that product. And you did. I would love to hear back from your Customer Service VP

Great coffee maker for many reasons. Mainly no more coffee mess on my countertop from a carafe that won't pour straight. A true 12 cups.

Great coffee maker, for a year

Very good coffee maker. Excellent design. Can accomodate cups or mugs of any size, especially those taller roadies. A tad pricey at $80. This is my second unit. The first lasted 13 months of daily usage, then started leaking from the bottom of the unit. Therein lies the weak point of HB. I'm quite certain I could have fixed it with a new gasket had they made these type of spare parts available. But they don't; you can only buy water filters etc. I'll give it one more shot and if I only get one year out of this one I'll be looking for another manufacturer.

This is the best coffee maker we've ever owned. The price is cheaper than a lot of coffee makers we've owned. It is easy to clean and produces a wonderful hot flavorful brew. We bought one for our house... then purchased one for our son and our daughter-in-law. They LOVE it! We now have purchased another for us to have at another residence. We love the fact that the last cup tastes as fresh as the first. You don't get that burnt, old coffee flavor. Good to the last drop!

Being coffee - a - holics this is the 3rd H/B brew station I've purchased over the past 5-6 years.......This one makes brewing a pot a snap, with several digital adjustments for volume, strength and decaf.....Actually seems to make a difference.....This is the best one yet !

Very Innovative Coffee Maker!

I love this coffee maker. We were using a thermal pot which didn't make or keep hot coffee and leaked like a sieve. This pot does everything it's supposed to: makes hot coffee (even initially hot enough to add creamer), and doesn't leak. My husband drinks caffeinated, and I drink decaf, so we are still deciding whether we want a second one. Right now, we off load the old coffee into a refrigerator carafe (which is then also usable as iced coffee). Although you can't fill the carafe from the front because it's too tall, we just remove the coffee tank and pour from there. We don't fill the coffee tank in order to make coffee, as there is a maximum fill mark on the water reservoir, so we just fill the reservoir from a bottle of water, thereby saving a step. The only detractions to this coffee maker are that it is a little hard to see the water in the water reservoir and how much coffee there is left in the coffee tank; there ought to be a level ball as in most. The only other thing is that we use Gevalia coffee, which, I think is finer ground, so when we made coffee the first time using Hamilton Beach's recommendations and spoon, the coffee was very strong. When we went back to the Gevalia spoon, and the amount of coffee we were used to, the coffee turned out great. I've tried the iced coffee; nice idea. You don't have to wait for the coffee to get cold in the fridge. I've never had a timer on a coffee maker before. It's really nice to wake up to hot coffee in the morning; it really saves time not to have to make it.

The coffee maker was quite easy to use and convenient to pour one cup at a time. The downfall is that if you like to make a lot of coffee to have over the course of a few hours, the cups towards the end taste burnt. My wife does just that every morning, so we ultimately had to send it back.

I debated for awhile between this one and the ever popular Bunn. I had used the Bunn at my sisters house before and liked it, but there were some things that I was not crazy about. After reading mant of reviews on this site, and in subscription I receive, I decided to buy it sight unseen and I couldn't be happier. The functionality is awesome, not many parts that could break, and the coffee tastes great from the first cup to the last.

I too have been using the original Brew Station for a little over a year and have really enjoyed it.

This new model seems to have addressed all of the short comings of the original.
1. The drip tray is now large enough to catch any drips.
2. You can now get a tall beverage cup under it without having to move it to the edge of the counter.
3. You can set the shut off time longer than 2 hrs (up to 4 hrs now).

There are several other small improvements but what it all boils down to is that this is an excellent coffee maker in my books!

I love this coffee maker. It's a pleasure not having glass pots that will just keep on breaking. My big Thermos cup fits under with no problem. I ordered 3 of these pots. I'm giving the other 2 to my mom and my sister. The only feature I haven't used yet which I can't wait to try is making the iced coffee with it. All in all it's a great coffee brewing system and the platinum color is so nice. You won't be sorry if you buy this maker.

With a husband working at home and drinking coffee all day, I'd buy this for the four hour warming feature if nothing else. I like the swivel base for filling, but haven't gotten used to the akward removal of the top and basket when making the coffee. Still, after 42 years of marriage, it is the best coffee maker we have had.

This Coffee Maker is just great. The coffee always taste the way coffee should taste smooth not bitter or burnt after sitting for awhile. It's so convinient and easy to prepare the coffee maker so when we get up it is ready. I couldn't be any happier with it. We spent a lot of money on our previous purchase a Senseo and it doee not even hold a candle to this one. I surely recommend this to any one.

This product was unuseable after it was opened and set up for use. The seal was inoperable and when tested constantly leaked. I replaced the seal and had the same problem. I contacted the manufacturer and was informed the problem was probably caused by the underside of the seal apparatus being broken. When I informed them that this was not the case, they told me that there was nothing further that they could do and that I should return it to the place of purchase. I am in the process of doing that now.

We upgraded from tthe original Brew Station and are happy we did!
The black color of this model blends well with our kitchen decor. The best improvement is that we can now fit our tall travel mugs under the dispenser.
I love HOT coffee and the coffee is steaming as it fills my cup...bravo!
This model does not have the occasional drips from the dispenser spout as our original one did, so there is less clean-up.

One minor drawback is that the area to fill the basket with coffee is slightly cramped. We have found that, after filling the reservoir with the desired amount of water, we assemble the vessel and filter, add our coffee grounds, pop on the top, and then slide the assembled unit onto the Brew Station for brewing. Also, because this unit slides off and on from the back of the Brew Station, one must have enough room to turn the Brew Station in order to do so.

Over all, this Brew Station makes GREAT, HOT coffee easily. There is no glass carafe to clean or worry about breaking, and it is super quick to fill a travel mugs and be on the road!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my brew station coffeemaker. I love not having to deal with a carafe, and the coffee is very hot right out of the maker (a huge issue for me). I rate this purchase as an A+.

This is an EXCELLENT product. I was tired of paying Dunkin Donuts ever increasing prices, and after much research, decided on this coffee maker. It makes coffee HOT and FAST. I love the 1-4 cups feature. The only two things that could use improvement--the site glass for water level is a little hard to see through (maybe a white background in the tank would help?), and a replacement seal for future use would be an appreciated extra. These two items are so minor, however, I would still buy this product. You may not get an extra seal, but you do get the permanent gold filter and the water filter. THIS COFFEE MAKER MAKES GREAT COFFEE!!!
