Accident protection for the prudent. The Microplane® Cut Resistant Glove allows for safer food preparation with its uniquely constructed, machine washable, light weight and comfortable design. Made from man-made fibers, the ""one size fits most"" glove molds quickly to fit either hand.
We recommend that you use this glove for all your food preparation requiring sharp tools. Keep in mind that you still have to avoid the sharp edges just like you would if you weren't wearing it. The benefit comes in the case of accidental contact with a sharp edge. It may still damage the glove, just not your hand.
**CAUTION**This Glove is cut resistant and not cut-proof. Always use with appropriate safety attachments. NEVER USE WITH MOVING OR SERRATED BLADES. No claim made for point puncture resistance. Replace glove when frayed or damaged.

This was a gift for our 12 year old daughter, who has smaller hands. Thus, the tips of the glove are a bit long for her fingers. Rather than shifting the tips to the tops of her fingers, they were hanging out a bit and one was chopped off while she was cutting her first onion! We were surprised with how easy it was to cut through. I know that the material is not Cut Proof... however, the ease in which it was sliced was not very impressive.
The glove is great. I will no longer scrape my finger nails and knuckles on the grater. The glove fits snugly.
I used get myself injured every time I grated something. I hate wasting good ingredients so I go too far and find myself scraped or end up chipping my nails. No more!!! I love this glove. The only thing is my fingers are short and they fit fine but I have a hard time believing it fits everyone. People with long fingers or big hands probably have a hard time fitting in it.

Stretches to fit almost any hand, would buy again. Took a while to get but worth the wait.
It's a nail saver, finger saver and time saver, It takes far less time to put on the glove than bandage a finger or fix a nail. A lot less pain too!
I like the mobility you get with this product and it works ok as a first line of defense against the Mandoline, but it wears out pretty quickly and it's more susceptible to nicks than I expected. I've had mine for about two months and it already has holes in a couple of the fingertips. It's still usable, and better than nothing, but it's not exactly perfect.
I do a lot of cooking which in turn requires a lot of prep-work. Quite a bit of this prep includes the use of a hand greater and sometimes I get going so fast that I'll run my knuckles minto the greater and cut them. With the propper use of this glove it saves my knuckles from cuts and ruining my food. I also use it while cutting and chopping food and vegetables on my right hand with the oyster glove on my left hand to save my hands from mishaps of a knife slip. Again Safety First...
I haven't had any "accidents" that would have put this to a real test. I have large hands and was concerned about being able to wear these. but they do fit (a little snug but got them on OK).
