The cupcake pen makes filling the cupcake tins much neater ... but it is a little messy filling it. My mixing bowl doesn't have a pour spout, so I had to put the batter in a large measuring cup in order to fill the pen. Another dish to wash!
I think one could find a plastic squeeze bottle which could work the same. Also, it is messy to fill.
I got this product thinking it would be great for when I bake cupcakes. But, it still does the same a scoop spoon does. The only difference is you can't remove the cake batter from the side of the cupcake pen. So most of the cupcake batter goes to waste. It was a interesting concept for not a great idea.
I love this. No mess, no fuss. Great idea.
