I gave this as a gift, but I looked over it before giving it to the family with the young diabetic. It has lots of fun recipes that the kids can prepare themselves. So, while teaching your child how to cook, you're also teaching them good nutrition for their particular set of circumstances. I thought it looked great!

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

A lot of kids love to help out in the kitchen, but it can be frustrating finding tasks that that young hands to handle. Peeling vegetables with a vegetable peeler, measuring liquid and dry ingredients, and washing produce are all safe, fun kitchen activities that will make kids feel like a grown-up sous chef.
