Contemporary Stainless Steel Dutch Oven (8-qt.) by Calphalon

Love the fact this is wider instead of taller as most dutch ovens - make it very easy to cook corn on the cob in this pot.

I've always had good luck with items I order from the Food Network Store, so I was expecting a good quality Dutch Oven to arrive at my house. For $99 I didn't expect "top of the line", but I was WRONG! This Calphalon Dutch Oven is absolutely perfect! I've braised short ribs, slow-roasted a pork butt, made coq au vin and cooked up a pot of chili in the little over a week since I have had it! I love, love, love the size, weight, appearance, and ease of cleaning this pot. The height-to-diameter ratio is just perfect for layering those all-important veggies in the bottom and placing a large piece of meat on top, with plenty of room for luscious liquids to bubble and simmer away without seeping out from under the lid. I'm going to ask for another one for Christmas!

The large capacity of this dutch oven makes it very versatile. A good quality stainless steel dutch oven of this size, at a price that won't break the bank, is hard to find. I like that it is more wide than it is deep, that I can put it in the dishwasher, and I love its modern look. Calphalon is a name I trust and I know I will have this for years. This dutch oven is the nicest piece of cookware I own!

This was a gift for my husband & he loves it! It's a fantastic Dutch oven; heat is distributed evenly; weight of the item is good; love the glass lid; it's good looking to boot. We've already used it several times and are contemplating purchasing more items in this line of cookware.

It's a great pot--looks good, cooks well, cleans up quickly. What more would you need? For the price, it's a good value.

This dutch oven is not as heavy as some other brands but that is sometimes good. It heated evenly, looks great and the glass lid allows you to keep an eye on the cooking. I am very happy with the results

Really great product - lighter than any other Dutch oven I've seen and works equally well. The wide and short style is great for getting everything browned, and I use it for many different uses now

I had been pricing dutch ovens when I happened across this one. Price was less than half of the others. I'm unable to use cast iron or enameled due having an induction range and not wanting to scratch or crack it. This oven is great. Cooks efficiently and easy to clean.

After purchasing this item, I have already cooked two meals with it and I'm very pleased with its' performance. It heats evenly and cleans easily. The craftsmanship is everything expected. Would recommend this product to anyone interested in serious cooking.

I bought this to replace my thirty eight year old dutch oven and it was worth the wait. I am really enjoying using it.

I need an OVAL pan-this is advertized as oval, but I don't consider it oval. It is slightly curved at 2 ends It seems like a good pan, if it was the right shape

I have used this dutch oven to make soup and homemade candy and works wonderfully for both. It's big enough so I don't have to worry about spill-overs.

Exactly what I wanted! Great size & goes from stovetop to oven for those Dutch Oven recipes!

This pan is not thick like other Calhalon cookware I've used and seen before. If you have a gas stove like I do the thinnest of this pan creates hot spots in the pan, if it was made thicker it would heat evenly thru out the entire pan. This pan may work better on a electric stove, still it is not built like they use to, DO NOT BUY!

I had an anodized pan, purchased about 15 years ago, which lost its anodized color. The customer service department could not have been more helpful in replacing my pan. I prefer stainless pans over anodized and they were very helpful in making an even exchange for a stainless pan. I could not have been more impressed. I give Calphalon a score of 10+ out of 10.
