Commercial Performance. Lifetime Durability.
The set includes a pan for every purpose and size you might need, and the pans can be used on the stovetop or in the oven and broiler.
The versatile 13-piece set has pans that work for nearly everything you cook, from delicate omelets to roasts, paella or risottos. These heavy-duty pans are hard anodized for performance and have chemical-free, natural nonstick properties. The set should be washed by hand for best performance.
The hard-anodized material allows use of these pans with any utensils, even those made from aluminum or other metals. The pans don’t get scratched and there’s no surface coating to flake off. The pans will look like new for years to come.
The clear glass covers for the pans and stockpot let you see how your food is progressing without having to lift the lid. Lifting the lid during cooking lets some of the food’s flavor escape along with the steam, so it’s a big advantage that you can minimize the need to peek at what’s going on inside. The tempered glass covers have metal handles, so they are oven safe, as are the pans.
Extra long metal handles help improve safety and ergonomics by making it easy to lift and move the pans. The 3 saute-fry pans come in 8, 10 and 12-inch sizes, so there’s a size for any food. The small one is ideal for sautéing onions or garlic, or making an omelet for 1, and the larger sizes work equally well for feeding a crowd.
The 6 quart covered stockpot is ideal for sauces and stews in batches large enough to feed a crowd. You can set the food to simmer and not worry about scorching or sticking because this pot heats evenly with no hot spots.
The chef’s pan and the saucepans all have covers. The saucepan sizes are perfect for many different foods, and make it easy to match a pan to the quantity of food you plan to cook. The price is less than you would pay for similar sets of lesser quality, and here you get legendary Calphalon commercial grade quality. You can’t go wrong by investing in the Calphalon Commercial hard-anodized 13-piece cookware set. This set is ideal if you are just starting out and need to set up a new home, or if you want to replace a worn-out set you’ve had for a while. Also makes a great foodie gift for the home chef in your life.
It is ideal for advanced techniques such as searing and deglazing, and will deliver a lifetime of performance with superb cooking results.
Have been watching the site, hoping the hard anodized professional cookware would return. Not a huge fan of "non-Stick." Got my first small set 10 or more years ago. Love the professional quality of the cookware, it's easy clean up (yeah let it cool hot soapy water and some elbow grease) and not having to worry about using metal utensils. Even on my old electric it cooks evenly. Great omelettes are easy. Go get it, you will not regret it.
I love the commercial cookware by calphalon. Good weight, sturdy, heats up and cools down quickly, cooks evenly and cleans up well. I was a bit surprised that it isn't as non-stick as other calphalon, but no problems once I was using the correct tempuratures and took a little extra time to clean up.
I was hesitant to purchase at first, but knowing how much my parents enjoy cooking with their Caphalon, I knew I could not go wrong. I was anxious to get the cookware set, and now that I have them, I enjoy cooking in them every day. Jeff
This is a great cookware set. I have used all the pans. Pros: - looks great - good weight - heats evenly Cons: - glass lids ( I liked the older lids that were Commercial Hard-Anodized) - cleaning pan sometimes requires longer scrubbing
I LOVE MY NEW COOKWARE. I ONLY WISH I HAD PURCHASED IT TWENTY YEARS AGO. IT'S EXPENSIVE, BUT I ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR QUALITY. THIS WILL LAST A LIFETIME. JOHN A. HILLEBRANDT EDGERTON, WI
