I kept looking at it and loving it because it is almost Victorian in design, but I hesitated to order it because of the cost plus the high cost of shipping it. So I continued looking at red tea kettles both online and in stores and there are a gazillion of them. Nothing comes close.

I ordered it and waited quite a long time to receive it, almost 2 weeks. But I was not disappointed and I smile everytime I see it perched on the stove.

I would order it again without hesitation.
I'm very pleased with this kettle. I had to get a new one because I actually melted the rubber part that covered the spout of my old whistling kettle (poor design!). Anyway, I chose this one specifically because there is no rubber anywhere besides the handle which doesn't get hot during heating. It does not whistle, but it's a good size kettle, it works well and looks very cute in my kitchen.
Gave to my daughter as a gift and she loves it.
I found myself heating water for individual coffee and other drinks. While a pan may work for this function, this is more elegant and looks better on the stove. Quality is the best economy.
