Bought this originally to grind spice after watching America's Test Kitchen's recommendation- instead used it on a bag of coffee beans- and since it did such a fabulous job on that (fast and perfect), I will now need to buy a second one for the spices!

Grinds coffee beans perfectly - and it's easy to clean.

The coffeee grinder is stylish in appearance. The blades work quickly in grinding the whole beans. Much faster that our 20 year old Krups grinder!! Also a quieter grinder than we are used to.

I have used Krups brands for a very long time. I purchased another grinder once and I found it didn't grind very well and I had to grind the coffee for much longer. If you heat coffee beans by grinding them too long they lose flavor. And because the grinder I purchased on sale was slow, I had to grind it much longer. Heat isn't just a function of time, it is a function of speed. So even though a Krups grinder grinds much faster, it takes less than half the time, which isn't time enough for the coffee to get hot.

This is just a fine coffee grinder. I am disappointed, however, as the advertising writeup said it was "easy to clean" - it isn't - it is must as much a pain as any other coffee grinder.
