I have tried to order the 2 qt. Gratin Dish by Emile Henry from several companies that advertised it. Each time I was sent a 1 qt. dish. Emile Henry make a 1qt. and a 3.5 qt, but apparently the 2 qt. was never manufactured only advertised!. I now own both a 1qt. and a 3.5 qt Gratin dish. My wife and I love the product, it heats evenly, cleans up easily and is light weight. It is also elegantly designed so that food looks good in it before and after cooking. I would recommend the product to anyone who enjoys cooking. We own several other Emile Henry dishes and they are all great
I love Emile Henry - quality is great, this dish is deep enough to be used as a smaller roasting pan. Very nice, earthy look. Highly recommended.
This au gratin baking dish is very well made and should last for many years. The finish is wonderful and the size accommodates the smaller portions I cook on occasion.
Love everything about this au gratin dish....size, shape and color!

It is the perfect thing not only for potatoes but cobblers as well....!

I also appreciate the expert packaging so that my dish arrived in perfect condition!

Thanks!
JW
The one quart size was difficult to find in a store mostly because the sales help is just that, NO help. Most recipes tend to be written for this size baking dish. I use it almost every week. gratin dishes are beautiul when they're done and the the baking dish does enhanse the presentation.

Instead of the using the usual suspects when making a gratinéed dish, why not experiment with some different types of cheeses? Blue cheese or Gruyère will perk up an ordinary pasta dish, and a firm cheese like Manchego (from Spain) will give a kick of flavor and a pleasantly browned topping when grated on top of your dish before it goes in the oven.
