We have a stainless steel and black kitchen, so we were looking for a teakettle that had both colors in it. Also, we have owned a number of teakettles that are seamed at the bottom which always accumulates stains and particles over the years and it seems like that's where they always begin leaking. This teakettle does not have this type of construction which is why we ordered it. Being of a design with no seams, the teakettle keeps its like new appearance.

When we first brought it to boil we loved the harmonica type two note whistle sound. We use this teakettle every day to boil water for making coffee in our french press. This is a very good teakettle, we love the design and the contruction, the stainless steel parts and the shiney black exterior. This is a great teakettle and looks great on our black and stainless range which is where it sits even when not in use. We love it. Great product from Chantal.
This teapot was very disappointing. i gopt it because it was a bright color and the closest to the 3 whistle pot we burned I could find. the whistle is nice (Hohner), but the pot is hard to open and becomes hot easily. All in all, i would have returned it if I could.
The handle heats up in almost the same measure as the kettle itself, requiring a hot pad to lift it when the water has come to a boil. The lid is difficult to remove and put back on. Otherwise a solid product, nonetheless a disappointment.
I have had two teakettles like this and this is over many years. I searched for exactly the same kettle when I needed to replace it.

The quality is excellent - my first kettle lasted for many years. It has the best design of any kettles I have seen on the market and looks great just sitting on the stove. It is big enough to make a good pot of coffee but not so big that is it takes forever to boil.
I love the sound of the whistle. It is truly like a fog horn and I can hear it from any room in my house - it is not piercing and loud like most whistling kettles but it has a very non-irritating sound. It starts to whistle softly at a low boil and gradually gets louder.

This kettle is the best and I wouldn't think of buying any other style or brand.
This is the finest teakettle you could ask for. A fine glistening stainless finish looks great and when the water is boiling the harmonic note of the honer harmonica is a sweet call to tea versus the shrill, blood curdling squeal of the standard kettle

For the perfect cup of tea, start with cool filtered water and bring to a rolling boil before pouring it over your teabag. Steep according to the directions on the tea package- different blends require different steeping times.
