Wusthof's newest state of the art technology incorporates a new computer controlled method for putting the edge on Classic knives. This technology allows for an exacting edge from the tip of the knife down to the heel of the knife. With this newer precision, the knives are made sharper to 14 degrees per side for a total of 28 degrees. The knives are now sharper and this refinement increases the sharpness retention because exacting angles and edges last longer than edges sharpened by hand. The result is a knife that is 30% sharper and the ICP (Initial Cutting Performance) lasts twice as long.

I have purchased this knife before. Unfortunately, during our recent move, it got misplaced and I was lost without it. It is the most versatile knife in my set. High quality construction and good balance are the best. Can't really say anything negative about it.
I recently purchased a complete set of Wusthof knives and have been completely impressed with the quality. Previously, I had a set of Henkels knives and the Wusthof set seem lighter and much more agile. This serrated knife is perfect for veggies and tomatoes and the serrated edge from front to back on the knife offers a pull through whatever you are cutting with ease.
This is a fine addition to my knife set. Very happy with all of my Wusthof Classic knives so far.
Excellent utility knife for a variety of small jobs. Great balance, blade steel, sharpness, and style. Much prefer the Classic series to Wusthoff's Gourmet line. Steep at full price but good value when on sale here.
I was ready for a really good kitchen knife so I started seaching. When I came across this one I hesitated because it is serrated but I bought it anyway. Boy,was I proven wrong. This is the knife I reach for each and every time I start something in the kitchen and I'm out fast. Thanks!

I love the versatility of this knife. It's perfect for slicing tomatoes, cutting an avocado, slicing a baguette and much more. It has become my favorite. In addition, I use a chef's knife and small paring knife and together they handle all tasks. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but these knives have been a great investment and completely worthwhile.
