Classic Series Sonoma Whistling Teakettle (2.5-qt.) by Farberware

I did not purchase the kettle for its intended use. Instead I purchased the kettle to assist me in the baking of my world famous cheesecake and needing to fill the pan with water. I have to say, the kettle enabled me to pour the water in the pan without spilling any of the water in the bottom of my stove, allowing for faster fill up and less trips to the sink. It is a great prodict and I would purchase it again.

Nice quality but smaller than I wanted. Decided to keep since it was a good value.

I guess I was looking for a nonexistant perfection of a large pot (enough water for all of us to have some hot chocolate or cider), and for it to be very easy to pick up and pour, and for the cap to stop the flow immediately. No big complaints. It is pretty big. It is easier to handle than previous teapots I have had, and now that I understand how to work the trigger (pull from inside the opening, not the outside as you would a gun), but the cap doesn't clap shut tight over the opening when you're finished pouring, so it leaks a bit as you pull the kettle away unless you are taking great care. I still will need to help my kids in most cases because of this. But I do like the kettle. It looks nice sitting on my stove, and without being very bulky, it does hold quite a lot of water.
