I use it for all sorts of things! I have since ordered one for each of my daughters.
I have purchased this item for myself twice. I use both for different things, one inside for normal sauces or butter and the other outside at the grill. The best recommendation is the one I just purchased, I gave as a gift to my daughter.
I have been looking for a small capacity pot to replace one that I heated baby bottles in 48 years ago and used often through later years. The copper bottom was wearing thin, in fact. I tried this one and was so very pleased. It is so beautifully designed and is balanced in weight. My old one would tip easily toward the handle and I sometimes spilled on my range top. This beauty is fantastic to use and has not tipped at all. I used it right away to heat a small amount of dipping sauce for breadsticks. It is so pretty that I took it right to the table and served out of it. It is much nicer that I expected for the cost. It has me looking at the Farberware line of cookware for other pans I could use. Highly recommended!
I liked this product so much I purchased three of them. They are great for clarifying butter!
This is the second review that I have written for this product. I bought the first one to replace one that I had for 45 years. I was so impressed with this Farberware pot that I am giving one to my niece, who is just married. I find that I use mine to heat up small amounts of gravy, melt butter, heat milk or cream for cereal, etc. I keep it on the surface of my range. I think that it is also a very beautiful design and hope to keep it shiny and bright. I hope that my niece will like it and use it for many years.

Clarified butter is butter that has had the water and milk solids removed so that all that remains is pure butterfat. To make it, simply heat butter on the stovetop until three layers form, then skim off the top and pour out the butterfat, letting the milk solids on the bottom remain in the pan.
