My pan is completely dependable. It cooks, cleans quickly and evenly. A pleasure to use. The only shortcoming I've found is cooking in a pan without a traditional long handle takes some getting used to.

Although it seems counterintuitive to use a fry pan without a traditional handle, this pan is actually one of the easiest to use. The two handles allow easy movement on the stove and certainly make carrying it simpler. No more balancing acts when the pan has a sauce or other liquid in it and stirring ingredients while it's on the stove is easy since you can spin it 180 degrees and grab hold of another handle to steady the pan while you tend to what's cooking. It's a pleasure to use, and even better to clean.

A cheap Chinese knock-off of Calphalon.

When they moved their production to China, the thickness and quality of finish went down. This is a mere shadow of its former self.

The various and sundry Chinese factories they have contracted this out to are cutting corners for increased profit.

It is Calphalon in name only.

I bought this pan when it was on sale for <$40. It is great for browning meat adding ingrediants and popping the whole thing in the oven. It makes a good looking serving dish as well.

The non-stick performs well and the pan seems to heat quite evenly. A good buy for what I paid for it.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

When you've bought some delicious fresh corn on the cob, don't shuck it until you're ready to cook it. Choose ears that feel dense and heavy for their size, and have soft silks that aren't matted or dry. The husk should be moist and green, not yellow.
