love it!

My favorite pan. Got it for an excellent price given that it was such a quality, heavy-weight pan, nonstick of course, with matching glass lid. Love the handles... can take it from the stovetop to the table without taking up the entire table, and it looks charming. Caveat: my husband does not like the little handles because they get hot while at the stove. True, but with our crowded family dinners, I highly prefer this to using a long-handled pan and then transferring to another dish for the table. Cooks beautifully and cleans easily. I keep it on my stovetop because I use it so often! Would love another one in a larger size.

I love this pan. Mostly I cook for two and this pan is exactly the right size. I have looked for this size before but it was always available only in sets. I like the lid which allows me to see what is happening in the pan and keeps the heat in for faster cooking. Clean up is a breeze. This pan has become my favorite and I have lots of other Calphalon pans.

The best

I have been cooking for more than 60 years.
This pan cooks as reliably as the old iron spider; but I don't expect it to rust.
After more than two weeks, it has not required more than a squirt of dawn and a swish with a dish cloth to keeping it looking like it just came out of the box.
I love it!

Not the quality I'm used to from this product

I will make sure in the future to look at where the product is made. I have some made in USA and love them and paid on sale the same price - this was made in China and not the same.

BEST cookware

This was my first Calphalon purchase. I had previously resisted due to the line's high price. I couldn't pass up the value here -- just $39. I LOVE this pan. What sets it apart from less expensive cookware is the even cooking. You never use high heat with this pan -- just medium. I've cooked everything from eggs to stir fry to steak and fish in it; all with excellent results. I give this my highest recommendation. Just so you know, this pan is not very large but is good for cooking for one or two. The glass lid is also beautiful.

More for Less!

I can't believe how great this pan is for so many things. I like the style and cooking capabilities but wish I would have been able to afford a larger one. It will be my next thing to buy, but it will be awile with the economy the way it is. Maybe you could put a larger one on a great sale like this one was???

The skillet is alittle too small for my needs. It's fine for one or two people ,but not for a dinner party.
It was an excellent price , however for this high quality skillet.

Good overall pan. Bit small for my purposes but that was my fault for not paying attention. Handles heat up with pan so be careful!

A favorite pan - lots of uses
by Ann, AZ
November 5, 2007

I have found a lot of uses for this pan, sautes, stir frys, omlettes, possibly frittatas. It is much easier to handle than a wok because it is light and the handles stay cool. The lid fits closely so you could also consider cooking items such as rice in a short period of time. The nonstick surface is very durable and easy to clean.

Hot Handles
by Jason, AZ

I love this pan!! the only thing I would change if I could would be to find a way to keep the handles cooler. They get too hot to the touch to move the pan while cooking.

I have only used this a few times and I love this pan. Nothing sticks to this and I do not have to use much olive oil when cooking. The foods also cooks faster than with my old pan.

Everyday Pan with Glass Lid

The pan is a lot smaller than pictured. I didn't realize the size would be that small and is not intended for a large amount.

This is a great product. I made fried potatoes first thing. They slid out of the pan and it looked like it had never been used. I found it to be amazing in compared to the old pan I used to fry potatoes in that was very hard to clean.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

When you've bought some delicious fresh corn on the cob, don't shuck it until you're ready to cook it. Choose ears that feel dense and heavy for their size, and have soft silks that aren't matted or dry. The husk should be moist and green, not yellow.
