Great German knife

I rated it a 4 because Wusthof does make a ironwood handled version that feels a little nicer in the hand. Otherwise this is a great paring knife that like the other Wusthof products can take abuse, although it might not have the same ability to keep an edge as some of the more exotic Japanese knives. I don't particularly like the way Wusthof places its brand on the blade either, prefer a smaller, more subtle identification.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Paring #2: Making a cherry pie but forgot to pick up a cherry pitter? Don't fret, a sharp paring knife will easily get the job done. Just slice the cherry in half lengthwise, gently twist the two sides apart, and pop out the pit.
