The product has all the features I need, but this steamer can be bought at Target Stores on the shelf for $29.95 while the price on Cooking.com is $49.95 plus shipping.

This is the most versatile food steamer on the market!!. I use it almost every day, especially for vegetables, and the size is perfect when cooking for 1 or more. I didn't realize when I bought it that it was tiered so alot of foods can be cooked at the same time.

I love it and am extremely happy with this cooker. I think I will buy my daughter one for her birthday.

Nice steamer

This steamer does what it is supposed to -- easy to use, steams well, steams a good quantity, steams relatively quickly. The instructions say to only use water to steam -- no flavoring, wine, etc -- a slight disappointment. Seeing the water level is a plus

Food and Rice Steamer

My main purpose for buying this was to steam cook rice. They give directions for all kinds of rice, which is not common for the multi-purpose steamers. I like this product better than my old rice steamer.

Would recommend this product hands down to anyone. We had a rice cooker for rice but this does a far better job. My kids love hard boiled eggs. They are so easy to make in the steamer and they take half the time. We use it multiple times a day and have even used it to rewarm leftovers. Can't say I have even found one draw back.

Gift For Daughter

I bought this for my daughter. She has wanted one since she saw mine. When it finally became available, I had it sent to her. Steamed fresh green beans have always been one of her favorite vegetables. It is the first thing she made. She also likes rice made in the steamer. An excellent product.

This steamer is adaptable for small to large size dishes. Multiple steamer baskets allow it to accomodate more than one dish at a time. The timer provides the cook complete control of the steam time. We use it almost every day, and the plastic seems to be of good quality. Its warranty is longer than similar products, and that is good because we have had poor luck with other steamers dying or the plastic deteriorating beyond usefulness after a year or so of regular use.

The large surface baskets, instant steam feature, easy to see exterior water level and filler port along with the digital timer make this product versatile and easy to use.

This steamer has many great features: large capacity with two levels for different foods, digital timer, keep warm feature, and a see-through water reservoir with a easy pour-in feature. What's not to like?

I've had other steamers, but never seemed large enough. This steamer is just right and easy to clean up.
I just love the 2 layer basket. Great for veggies and warming up biscuits at the same time.

I have another, more expensive steamer, but prefer to use this one because of its ease of use and great results. Also very easy to clean. Really like it.

I really like the Oster steamer. However, the window that shows the minutes does not light up. That should improve it. I have to use a flashlight to read the minutes

I have used the Black & Decker Steamer for years, and when I saw this one on the website, I thought I would give it a try. It is definitely more versatile than the B&D version. It holds more food, it has an easy water refill spout, and a great time delay function. For someone that works full time, this type of function is great. I can have that timed in conjuction with my slow cooker.

This steamer was purchased as a Christmas gift for my sister & brother-in-law who are dieting. They love it and using it frequently. They love the way it steams vegetables, fish and perfect sushi rice. It was a great buy and the shipping was very timely. It was great to be able to buy it online and have it shipped directly to their out-of-state address -- less work and hassle for me and they are very happy with it. EV in Michigan

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Steaming helps preserve the health benefits of your food because unlike boiling, the nutrients aren't removed in the cooking water. The gentle heat of steaming locks them in while cooking foods through.
