An aromatic, sensual experience, Tazo Chai's ingredients are gathered from all over the world. Rich black teas are combined with cinnamon, Madagascar cloves, exotic spices, and creamy vanilla. These precious ingredients give Tazo Chai the perfect balance of creaminess, sweetness, and spiciness.
Long before lattes, roadside tea merchants called chai wallahs have been serving their delicious combination of strong black tea and exotic spices, prepared on open stoves and served with milk. One can see this ceremony repeated throught the cities, towns and countryside of India, in railway stations, open air markets, and remote villages. Chai is the staple beverage not only of the Himalayan hill dwellers, but of all India.
Tazo has reincarnated and captured the essence of authentic chai and packaged it for modern day consumption.
Tazo was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. By using high quality ingredients and a tremendous amount of experience and creativity, Tazo has produced unique products that create an emotional connection with the consumer at many levels. Tazo continues to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea, but presents this in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing. Unlike other tea companies, Tazo purchases teas in their original container as packed at the garden to ensure the tea inside the chest or bag stays garden fresh and is not exposed to the heat and moisture in a blending facility at one of the tea shipping points.
The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo constantly taste and determine which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.
The name Tazo has roots in many civilizations. Tazo actually means "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and was used as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties.
Tazo is kosher certified by KSA.

I bought this product to cut down on the cost of my trips to Starbucks every day. The amount that Starbucks uses is minimal compared with what I have to ad.When Starbucks puts their 5 pumps of the TAZO into it comes out tasting great. I have to use half of the container to get it to taste even close. I was assured that the product I purchased was the same concentration strength as Starbucks. I do not believe that it is. I like the TAZO tea, but believe that it will be much cheaper to start going back to Starbucks....oh well, I had to try it out.
This is the original Starbucks Chai Tea. Prepare this way: 2 parts of Chai, 1 part of 2% milk and 1 part of water, heat well.
The useable date was to short I can't use that much in that short a period of time. I have a stomach problem and can only drink a small amout in one day. So I gave it to a friend and they loved it.
This product is EXCELLENT! We've used it in the microwave...very good, we've used it with steamed milk...excellent!
We will reorder when we need to !

Coffee tastes best when made with freshly ground beans, but we know it's not always a reality to be able to grind your beans every morning- especially if people in the house are still trying to sleep! Instead, try grinding beans once or twice a week in the evening, then storing in the fridge in an airtight container.
