Loving my Peppermill
by Marilyn, NS
March 3, 2008

I was so excited to receive my peppermate peppermill as I had searched for it everywhere in Canada and was not able to locate it anywhere. I have used it constantly ever since and it works great. There is a nice flow of pepper from it which is why I wanted it so badly. I find most peppermills do not give enough pepper without a lot of work. Peppermate is great and I hope to enjoy many years cooking with it.

Pepper Mill

I love this interesting pepper mill. Easy to use, easy to fill. I would recommend this to others. However, you ask if I think this product is a good value for the price. I do feel it is a bit pricey. This product should have been priced at $30.00 or even a bit less, considering everything is plastic. So it had better last me a good, long time. But I do love how easy it is to use.

I have looked for this pepper mill after seeing it on Paula Deen and could not find it anywhere. I love it!!! It puts out a lot of pepper at a time and you can adjust it so easily. It also holds a lot so you don't have to fill it often. It was a great purchase!!!

I am very pleased with this purchase. I have had a couple of other pepper mills, but they were not adjustable for the grind and the pepper came out too coarse for my taste. I like being able to adjust the grind for my use.

Great grinder
by Pamela, VA
April 16, 2008

I bought this grinder on a recommendation from a friend. She is a great chef and told me she was so pleased with it after she used it for a while, she bought a second one to keep as a spare. I am also very pleased. The grinder is easy to turn and the coarseness of the grind adjusts easily. It is also easy to fill. The snap off bottom is great - it makes it easy to see how much you are grinding and to measure what you add to dishes in cooking. I'm thinking of buying a spare as well.

My review...

After purchasing several other peppermills, I had seen this one on Barefoot Contessa, and thought how nice it was. Because of the cup on the bottom of the mill, NO MORE pepper mess on the counter, and for me that is a HUGE plus. With other mills, I could never find the perfect setting for how fine or course I wanted the pepper to be, and with the Peppermate is wasn't a problem, and it's also a breeze to fill. Because the top has a larger opening, just pour in more peppercorns, and it's filled. If fresh ground pepper is for you, then so is this peppermill.

BEST MILL EVER
by jill, NE
May 6, 2008

I HAVE PURCHASED 4 DIFFERENT PEPPER MILLS IN THE LAST 2 YEARS AND THIS ONE IS THE BEST EVER. IT IS EASY TO ADJUST, FILL AND TO USE. YOU CAN USE THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT OR GRIND RIGHT ON YOUR FOOD. IT IS VERY EASY TO USE AND PUTS OUT A GOOD AMOUNT OF PEPPER WHICH THE OTHERS I HAVE USED HAVE NOT DONE SO.

The Best Pepper Mill Ever!!!

The first time I ever saw this pepper mill was on the Paula Dean show. I was looking for a new one and How thrilled I was to find it on Cooking.com. I ordered it and was so excited when it arrived. It is so easy to fill and holds alot of pepper. I love everything about this mill. I have 3 other pepper mills that I no longer use including the pampered chef mill. I'm putting them into my next garage sale. Thank you so much, Angie NNK, VA

After seeing Paula Deen using this pepper mill I decided I wanted to try one and I am not disappointed. Searched high and low until I realized that I could purchase it here. Thank you for the great service and a wonderful product. It's easier to use than the traditional mill and never leaves a 'mess' where it is placed. I highly recommend this product.

Salty review
by Eula, FL
June 11, 2008

Bought the 'Mill,' to grind clean rock salt into: 1. fine table salt. 2. Course cooking salt. 3 Very course pretzel salt. The bottom line? It works. And with the ceramic grinding mill, I don't have to be concerned about the metal-salt interaction I had experienced with other mills. Will be purchasing others soon (when discretionary funds are replaced,) to grind whole mustard seed, whole celery seed. as well as other spices.

Buy two and have a 'set.'
by Eula, FL
June 11, 2008

Purchased the product to grind my tri-color peppercorn mix. It works! Can adjust the grind from very fine to very course. The black and white set (white color offered elsewhere,) make a real fine salt-&-pepper set. Will be purchasing others soon (when discretionary funds are replaced,) to grind whole mustard seed, whole celery seed. as well as other spices.

Great Pepper Mill!
by Pattie, MA
July 2, 2008

I bought this for my husband who loves to cook. He makes a lot of recipes that require a large amount of pepper and he likes to use freshly ground. A small grinder takes forever and he saw this one on Paula Deans show and asked me to find one for him. He is so happy with it. He says the control is great and the design is very easy and comfortable to use. Great Pepper mill!

Pepper Mill that Paula Dean uses on her show
by Frank, MI

I am a very big user of pepper mills. The flavor you get from grinding your own pepper will not compare with store bought ground pepper. Most grinders you purchase are the round type that are hard to turn when you get oil your hands while preparing a meal and just don't last. This grinder has the lever on the side which makes it easy to grind the pepper and it holds a LOT of corns. I've had this grinder for a while and still holding up well. It's a bit pricy but well worth it if it holds up for a few more years.

I figured if Paula Deen kept using the same pepper mill, it must be good. I looked everywhere for one like it and never found one. Then I searched the Foodnetwork and there it was. It is an excellent product.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

When it comes to buying ground pepper versus grinding your own, there's no comparison. Use a grinder to grind peppercorns, and see how pepper is really supposed to taste. Not only is the flavor fresh and good, it also gives you a lot of freedom with your pepper: use a coarse grind (big chunks) for bold pepperiness on meat and salad, and a fine one for fish or lighter soups.
