My First Cast Iron Anything
by Kara, OK
June 24, 2008

I was on the lookout for a stovetop grill when I came across this grill pan on sale, so I snatched it up. I have been very pleased with the way my chicken breast fillets turned out - so far that is all that I have been using it for.
As my first cast iron product, I am learning about the seasoning process and how to properly clean and care for it.
Overall I am very pleased with this product. I may never prepare fillets in a flat pan again!!

Great Pan

This is a great option to throwing meat on the outdoor grill. Just the right size for two people. Easy to clean and the pre seasoning sure speeds up the process of being able to use this pan right out of the box.

Although I am a new shopper to the Food Network, I love shopping for bargains on good equipment and that's what I found with this grill pan. Great price, excellent pan. I love the way it heats fast and holds the temp and the food has these wonderful grill marks. Very happy!!

even cooking - non-stick
by carol, PA
December 11, 2008

I am not very happy about the grill pan - for some reason I can not get it to cook evenly or to keep food from sticking - I have seasoned the pan as per the instructions but can;t seem to get it to work - I think I would like it better if the groves were not so deep - I like the grill lines on the meat but think the groves could be smaller for more even heating

I love this pan. It weighs a ton but it makes simple meals fabulous. A simple chicken breast needs nothing more than salt & pepper to come out juicy and moist on this pan. And with great cross-hatch marks if you reposition the food 45 degrees halfway through. I am very pleased with the way this pan works and am glad I purchased it.

GRILL PAN

October 3, 2007

LOOKS LIKE JUST THE RIGHT SIZE, HOWEVER IT IS WAY TOO HEAVY FOR THE ELDERLY TO LIFT. WISH IT WOULD HAVE COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT IT IS PRE SEASONED OR WE HAVE TO SEASON IT OURSELVES. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED IN THE BOX WITH THIS PRODUCT.

An excellent product

I am pleasently surprised at how this ribbed pan performs. I can get the same result on the stove that I get from a BBQ (less the smokey flavor).

I have grilled chicken in this pan on the stovetop. And, of course, you can finish it in the oven if you prefer. Great pan...saw it for $10 more in a different store. Good price and very reasonable shipping...very clear care instructions.

Quite nice, as advertised.

This grill pan was excellent for cooking a boneless rib steak. The char marks were pleasing to the eye, and the meat seemed to me to be easier to make medium-rare than in an ordinary flat-bottom pan. The size is nice, and well worth the price.

I bought the skillet as a gift for my single son living in an apartment. He likes to cook, but doesn't have a lot of time for healthy food. This has helped him create some lower fat meals that he enjoys.

I purchased this as a gift for my wife. She's been very happy with the pan and has used it several times so far.
The price was very good / much better than what I saw in stores in my area. We're pleased with the product and recommend it to others.

10" Cast iron Grill Pan
by Nancy, CA
March 7, 2009

I was tired of throwing away all my non-stick grill pans when the coating started coming off! This fit the bill perfectly! Does require seasoning each use, but it is much better than ingesting teflon!!

Square Grill Pan
by Narda, WA
March 28, 2009

I was so excited when the package arrived only to find out that the exhaust fan in my stove had gone out and I hesitate to use the grill pan with out the use of the fan. Afraid of the excess smoke. But I would suggest to use just a bit smaller box for shipping as there was a lot of wasted space in the box, but the article arrived in prestine condition. Thank you so much for asking. Sincerely, Narda McNally

Bonus pan
by Dorothy, NJ
November 18, 2009

This came as a bonus piece when I purchased the 10 piece Emerilware set for my son. The ridges on the grill pan are a little rough, making it more difficult to clean. I always clean my cast iron with kosher salt, a little oil and paper towels but the paper towels shred on this pan, I have to use old rags instead.

Cook's evenly
by Kenneth, OH
March 30, 2010

This square grill panseasoned nicely so far without any quibbles from me. Even with the ability to make "grill marks" it performed nicely with a stir fry veggie dish and it was evenly coked no doubt due to being cast iron.
