Excellent product. Heavy , nice sized and easier to clean than the old ones.
I grew up using cast iron skillets and absolutely love them. This skillet is a good size and heats evenly. I purchased a 12 inch skillet at the same time but it was too large for the burner and didn't heat all the way to the edge of the pan. Sure wish they made an 11 inch pan.
I grew up with my grandmother and aunt using a pan exactly like this to fry and bake in. I have been looking for a pan just like this for over 20 years. The other pans that say they are a cast iron pan, aren't like the old ones as they are light as a feather and are coated with cast iron. This one is really a cast iron pan. Be careful when you pick it up as it is somewhat heavy. Don't be afraid of this, it is the way it should be. I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrist and I can still lift the pan. This is a pan that I will have for a long time. I also like that it comes preseasoned which takes away the work of having to do it yourself. This pan is easy to clean and follow the instruction not to put it in the dishwasher. You will have to reseason it yourself (this isn't hard but why make extra work for yourself).
This is easy care, even heat and has so many uses. I have a lot of Emerils cookware and knew I would not go wrong in ordering this pan. I plan on purchasing another piece in the near future
