Very quiet and gives a great grind. Looking forward to the ease of cleaning with the removable burr.

This is convenient and easy to use, but it will NOT do a fine ground at all. I had to regrind it in my old blade grinder to get a fine ground. Good thing I kept it. I was very disappointed in this burr grinder and Krups in general.

I have this product for only one week and so far it is excellent. THere will be no more guessing at how long I should grind the coffee for a particular pot.

This grinder does not work properly. Each time I press the button to grind, it does so for 1-2 seconds then kicks off before it grinds the amount I have selected. I thne have to wait until the grinder resets itself, press the grind button agaiin. I have to keep repeating this process to grind any amount of coffee. So the entire concept of grinding a set amount is out the window. I have to measure ground coffee for the amount I want to brew which usually means I have grounds left over. I will never buy another Krups product again.

The grinder is compact and fits nicely on the counter beside a coffee maker. The ability to regulate the grind and the amount each time makes this an easy and necessary tool for good coffee.

I love this product. It is just what I expected to get for the price. The design is exemplary. However, the calibrations aren't very accurate. The 6 cup settings yeilds enough ground coffee to make 12 cups of coffee and I like my coffee very strong. Owners will have to learn where to set the switch regardless of the printed setting.

OK I guess. Grinds well and uniform. # of cups function is pretty useless. It is based on a time amount and not an actual measure of the ground coffee. 2-cup setting is actually more like 4-5 cups and I like my coffee strong! Beans sometimes don't get channeled into the burrs and unit needs a good shake to get them flowing again.

When I first used it, I was grinding for several pots and the machine did not want to start after the third session. I thought may be it was overheated or I did not put it all together correctly. It eventually started and I had no trouble with it after that.

Seems to work as promised. However, it produces a very strong cup of coffee if you go by the machine's settings. So we just reduce the cups.

I bought it as a gift and so far the person I gave it to has used it everyday for two weeks and loves it. I thought the grinder worked well when I was there to see it. I was impressed with how quiet it is compared to my own "blender styled" grinder.

So far, so good. The grinder takes a little practice to use effectively but the quality of the burr ground coffee is noticeably better than blade ground coffee and the grinding process is quieter. At 2-3 quarts a day, quality really matters.

It looks great on the counter, runs fairly quietly, and isn't gigantic!

I had a coffee grinder before getting a burr grinder. What a difference! Love it.

We have a Capp. machine & without this grinder we were @ the mercy of the local Supermarket to grind our coffee. This way we can grind our coffee ourselves & keep the extras in the freezer. We can also make our own blends & not have to taste the residue from others before us.

This is a great coffee grinder. It is very easy to use and clean, and it gives ground coffee just the way you like it. It takes only a few seconds to have perfect ground coffee - whenever you want it. Cleanup is simple- just brush uor the grinder cavity and wash off the removable parts - and you're ready to go for the next cup of great coffee!

I'm happy, the wife is happy. It cleans easly. The grind selector is too easy to move from the desired setting. I needs a spring or something to hold it in place.

Does not grind finely enough: settings do not match resultant grind

We grind beans for each pot and a burr grinder is the best way to grind coffee beans. This grinder is good and I would recommend it.

Only one flaw!

This grinder rules, when I ordered it from cooking.com, it was for another coffee freak. (I just started my addiction again a few months ago.) However, I bought the same model elsewhere. The only issue I have with it is the 'cup' setting. Simply put, it is only a timer, so the type of beans being used and the coarse/fine selection both play a factor in how much coffee is actually ground. However, since the ground hopper is clear, and the button can be used as a simple on/off setting, it works great regardless. All that, and no chunks like blade grinders!

if you do not mind measuring your own coffee, this is a great little grinder. it looks good, the grind is even and complete, but the measure is all wrong for my taste. i have toyed with returning it all week, so i would not recommend it to others.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

When shopping for coffee, look for a few key terms that'll ensure the best possible brew. "Fair trade" means the coffee farmer was paid a fair living wage for his beans. "Organic" means the coffee trees weren't treated with any pesticides. "Shade grown" means the beans didn't come from coffee trees that were genetically modified to grow in the sun. Coffee trees naturally thrive in shady forests, but a lot of coffee these days comes from trees that were modified to grow in the sun, meaning that indigenous forests have been clear-cut to make way for large-production coffee farms.
