5 times more expensive than my old coffee mill, but i didn't realize the difference this quailty would make in the grind. it's so consistent. all the grounds are the same size--no powder. very pleased.

Performs beyond expectations

I bought this grinder so my coffee grinds would be a uniform small size. I didn't really expect the coffee to taste better--but it does! Even family and friends who didn't know about the new grinder commented on my coffee. The unit functions as advertised, and is easy to use. I'm very glad I bought it.

Very impressive grinder. Quieter than any I've had before, and remarkably little static problems even in the dry air of southern Arizona. This machine replaced a Cuisinart CCM-16PC which was in the same price range. The Capresso is significantly quieter, the grind is more even, and compared to the Cuisinart, static problems are non-existent (at least in the medium grinds I use). There may be quite a few more expensive grinders, but I'd be willing to wager they can't do any better than the Capresso when it comes to grinding coffee.

Solid product at a decent price

After my previous burr grinder died, I pulled out the old reliable blade grinder that was stashed in the pantry, only to realize how much better the ground coffee results were with the burr grinder. After some detailed research I selected the Capresso Black Infinity and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. A reasonable price when compared to other similar units didn't hurt a bit either!

This grinder does exactly what it is supposed to do. It can grind coffee however fine or coarse you want it. For $90, it is the best conical burr grinder you can get for the money.

I gave this to my Dad for XMAS and he loved it! I bought this and the Torrefazzione variety pack of whole bean coffee. Now, he's running a coffee shop in his kitchen and couldn't be happier!

Burr Grinder is excellent!

For years I used a cheap blade coffee grinder which at best broke the coffee beans into little chunks, and always was messy. I was never satisfied with the results but didn't realize that conical burr grinders existed for home kitchens. I'm very pleased with the Jura-Capresso burr grinder. It grinds to very fine consistency, and the ground coffee drops into a handy little bin---no mess, and very convenient. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent Burr Grinder

This is a great burr grinder. It's a must for coffee enthusiasts. I bought a french press and needed a grinder that would allow me to change the courseness of the beans. The grinder is solid. The beans are ground even everytime. I have no complaints at all. I will never go back to a blade grinder ever again. I definately recommend this product.

I bought this product for my husband. We have a drip coffee grinder, an expresso coffee maker and a "push down" coffee maker. He is delighted with the performance of the Infinity! For the first time no guess work and perfectly ground coffee every time. Our family and friends are impressed!

Black Infinity Conical Burr Coffee Grinder
by Charles, OH
April 6, 2009

This is the second burr grinder I have purchased and it is by far the best I have owned. The first was a Cuisinart which did a good job but was very loud and very messy with a lot of static build up in the ground coffee. This unit is very quiet and little or no static is created. The grind is very consistent. It takes very little cleaning to maintain the unit with the medium roast beans I use. I have owned the unit for six weeks, use it every day and have not had any problems. I don't see how a more expensive unit could give any better results.

The service from Cooking.com was fantastic. I placed my order even though they said it was out of stock and my take two weeks to ship. I received the order three days after placing the order. I will definitely will purchase from them again.

I love the burr coffee grinders but this is the third, and last one I got in just a few years. The other 2 just went bad hopefully this will last longer. The coffee comes out good. I've had to start drinking decaf but with the grinding it with this coffee grinder it tastes so much better. It's almost like regular coffee.

Great Product

The Conical Burr Grinder is exactly as described and is a good value for a home (non-commercial use) product.
I had researched the whole subject of blade versus burr grinders, etc and it helped prompt me to by the conical burr type. However, despite all that I read about how burr grinding is better than blade "chopping" and that conical burr is the best of the two burr types, I was actuall amazed at the difference that this coffe grinder gave me in the taste of the coffee from my old blade "chopper".
Actullay it is astonishing.

The only one that works
by Michelle, GA

We own two of these grinders, one in each of our houses. We have had a number of burr grinders over the years and this is the only one that we have owned that works as it should. Even large, dark roasted beans are ground easily to the fine grind required by our coffee maker. We've had our first grinder for more than a year and have never had a problem with it. It is quiet and efficient. Can't say enough good things about this product. Highly recommended!

Excellent performance. Grinds well & evenly. Easy to handle. Only problems: Hard to clean grinding parts, and too much coffee is left in machine after use.

Fantastic!

I bought my first burr grinder about 3 years ago. Paid $100. for it and was disappointed as it didn't grind the coffee fine enough for me. Then I bought a $200.00 grinder, which worked well enough but the coffee bin was black so it was difficult to see the coffee and it was loud. One day it just stopped grinding. I decided to try for something in the middle price range this Capresso is wonderful. The coffee is ground exactly as I like it, it is quiet, clean and with a clear coffee bin it is easy to see how much coffee is in there! I had been shopping around and know that most places sell this for $149.00 I got it here for $89. I am one happy camper as they used to say.

It is easy to clean, but I suggest you use a pastry brush and/or a soft bristle toothbrush.

Since the Black Infinity Burr Coffee grinder arrived last week I have used it daily. The results have been consistenly satisfactory. The product is easy to use, easy to clean and produces perfectly ground coffee. The price was a bit steep but the results justify the expense.

Outstanding! Don't waste your money on the "inexpensive" burr style grinders. The conical design of this machine prevents static build up and gives 1 1/2 cups of uniformly ground coffee in 10 seconds. No kidding!

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

When shopping for coffee, look for a few key terms that'll ensure the best possible brew. "Fair trade" means the coffee farmer was paid a fair living wage for his beans. "Organic" means the coffee trees weren't treated with any pesticides. "Shade grown" means the beans didn't come from coffee trees that were genetically modified to grow in the sun. Coffee trees naturally thrive in shady forests, but a lot of coffee these days comes from trees that were modified to grow in the sun, meaning that indigenous forests have been clear-cut to make way for large-production coffee farms.
