Bobby Flay opened his first restaurant, Mesa Grill, in 1991 and quickly developed a following for his innovative Southwestern cuisine. I got this book just to have on hand for different grill recipes. My husband has taken it over. We have had many dishes in a short period of time. Tonight is page 157 (what ever that is) but, I'm sure it's going to be good.
I bought this book to learn how to grill Salmon. My husband and I have used all the samon receipes and are trying other items. We especially like the mamy different marinades in this book. There is also a lot of useful information in it. I bought a second book and gave it to a friend and he loves it.

I love the way this book gives you a variety of ways to barbecue particular meats, vegetables, and fruit. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. The guidelines at the front of the book are great for me as I expand my grilling.

Superbowl Sunday my wife and I were invited to a friend's party at a resort. This cookbook was provided in the room for use and review, but not to keep. At just a glance, I had to have it. I immediately ordered it the next day via the web. I have not yet utilized the recipes as it is winter here in MO but am excited about the recipes and look forward to spring grilling. I intend to not only use this book for my personal home cooking but also as inspiration for cooking at the resort where I am Chef of Banquets and Special Events. I am always on the lookout for new ideas and concepts and this cookbook is very fresh and innovative. I anticipate it will be a valuable tool both professionally and in my own home grilling.
If you're a fan of Bobby's tv shows, then you'll like this book; the recipes are very similar to what you see on tv. So if you like what you see on the shows and have even cooked some of those dishes, then give this a try. Few ingredients are far-fetched, but most can be purchased at local markets. Large variety of dishes here; If you're not afraid to grill anything and are looking to become a "grill master", get this book. However, I don't think many beginning grillers will benefit from this book, as it can be overwhelming for the occasional burger/hot dog flipper.
Chef Flay is a genius....his recipes are a far cry from my Polish and Italian cooking....and I love the experience of tasting his southwest foods. The Mesa Grill potato salad is the best potato salad ever and I have been serving it often. The book is filled with great grilling tips and my desire is to work through the book...just like Julie and Julia. Thanks Chef Flay for your brilliance.

This book is excellent for helping you understand how to achieve the maximum benefit from your grill and includes some of my favorite recipes. I am slowly working my way through the book one meal at a time. Would recommend to all the enjoy creating a good meal from the grill
great book to give for a gift
We love to grill. We have learned you can grill just about anything from Bobby. We use many of the recipes and integrate them into ours. We love to watch and tape the show for techniques.
I bought "Grill It" for my son-in-law who just built a lovely outdoor kitchen on his patio last summer. He and my daughter love to entertain friends and family now in this lovely outdoor space, and what could be better than some of Bobby Flays delicious recipies!
This was a gift for my mother that loves grilling and she loves it!

Before serving cooked meat, be sure to let it rest for several minutes. It will actually continue to cook after coming out of the oven or off the grill. Also, allowing it to rest will keep your meat tender and juicy.
