I have a small kitchen and an 18 mo. old who loves Cheerios! This dispenser is perfect. I can keep it on the counter and it doesn't take up much space and it saves me from finding a place in my pantry for a giant cereal box!
I love it. I generally skipped breakfast due to lack of time but now that I have the dispenser and is cereal-filled, it cuts a step down to prepare for a bowl of cereal in the busy morning. It also helps me drink milk every day.
At first, I was bit worried about cereal getting soggy by picking up moisture from the air but it's sealed pretty tight and keeps the cereal dry and crispy.
I used the dispenser for a snack table at a party. The appearance was fine. The product arrived quickly and in good shape. The stand is not very stable. I did not notice a weight limit on the instruction. I filled it with trail mix and after about 10 uses the entire dispenser fell over while being used. It spilled trail mix all over the table and embarrassed the guest attempting to use it. I think if you are using this on a limited basis (once daily) and for something light like dry cereal it would be fine.
We Like the Cereal Dispenser, but that flapper valve is a problem. The cereal gets caught, and the valve is hard to turn. For Example: A Sanitary Grade Clamp Butterfly Valve that Comes In Different Sizes, that would clamp around the Bottleneck at the bottom of the cereal dispenser. This way you eliminate the difficulty when turning the valve. Of-course cost is important, but I'm just giving a suggestion with a picture below of what I'm talking about. On a Good Note, My Wife and I are happy to have a cereal dispenser that works, it's nice looking, and the price was good, and affordable. Buying dry goods once a month is a great way to take advantage of bulk pricing. Another benefit is that you can zip through the store the rest of the month, simply picking up fresh items.
