This is Ina's greatest book yet. She is so talented and this book is my most used for recipes right now. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you I have a bad taste for food network tv right now. I used to love your channel. I would keep it on in the house all day.I would just listen to the various cooks as I went from room to room. However, lately you have been airing tons of infomercials. You never used to air them during daytime shows. I have been taping my favorite shows, so I can cut out the annoying infomercials. Please bring back the old food network WITHOUT INFOMERCIALS. That way I will watch you more often.

I love all of Ina's cookbooks! I think this one is great because she focus's on the most important aspect of the food she is using and getting the most flavor and enjoyment out of it.

I already tried a few recipes and they were excellent in taste and easy to make. Ina is one of my favorite cooks.

This cookbook is one of the best I have used. It is so clear, easy to understand and the recipes are so delicious. Thanks to Ina for all her suggestions and for making me a better cook! I have definitely turned my cooking up a notch, have already ordered Ina's other cookbooks and can't wait to receive them.

I have been watching Ina's recent program "Back To Basics" and did not see one dish that I didn't want to try; had to buy the book (also purchased one for a friend)! The book is so well organized, dishes not difficult to prepare and Ina's directions are always easy to follow. The illustrations are wonderful!

I love this cookbook! I've been watching the series, and I'm really happy to have so many of the recipes at hand. Great photos, easy directions (I can hear Ina's voice when I read the text!) and there was another treat - an autographed sticker to place inside the cover. How cool is that? I spent my first weekend shopping and cooking 5 receipes from the book. Most of the ingredients I already had in the house which is why I like her "back to basics" idea. We are not fancy eaters and some are picky eaters. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed making the dinners I did. Wish the prices were more competitive though - you can get them cheaper at stores - I was just too lazy to shop for them at the time but I LOVE the book!

Not only are Ina's recipes great to try but the pictures in the book are beautiful! I will always buy a cookbook with pictures over any other. I want to see what it should look like and many times have tried a recipe just because of the picture. I would recommed any of Ina's cookbooks. I can look at them over and over again as if they were coffee table books.

Ina rules! I have always enjoyed watching Ina on the Food Network. Her creations are "doable." Everytime I have used one of her recipes, people rave. I am in a study group that meets weekly and brings in pot luck dinners to share. I made Ina's chicken pot pie and got rave reviews! The book sometimes does not go along with the TV shows, but it is understandable why changes are made. Book is great. I will keep it as a standby for regular use. '

Both book will be Christmas presents for my daughters. I had trouble finding them last year. I did look through them and saw what I thought many wonderful recipes.

Ina is one of my favorite chefs. I love her story and he elegant way of entertaining. She is wonderful. When I got the cook book I had to go through every page. I hope she is around forever writing her books

Excellent book. She's done exactly what she set out to do - update the basics by tweaking the flavor profiles. Several of these recipes will become my "new" classics.

Excellent explanations and menu planning, with the best quality ingredients. Ordered twice now from D'Artagnan and was very pleased with the quality. I now feel comfortable creating and serving these dishes to even the most discriminating guests at parties.

Ina Garten is one of my favs to watch on TV...she is laid back, and you feel like an old friend just hanging out with her, as she walks you through her recipes. This book has recipes that aren't too complicated, and they make a wonderful presentation. They really are basic enough, and yet seem sophisticated too. Thanks Ina!

All of Ina's Cookbooks are wonderful--the directions are clear, precise and made simple and user friendly. I have always loved to cook, but really enjoy it now after getting acquainted with Ina's cookbooks. Great recipes, tips for decorating, hosting parties, etc. Imagine Ina's show in print form...one of the best cookbooks I've bought in the last year.

I bought this cook book coincidentally the same day my mother and mother in law did. We all love it. The granola bars are fantastic. Ina has a way of writing anc cooking that makes you feel good about what you are doing -- the ingredients are simple, the directions are well-written and the food turns out SO DELICIOUS!
