bad description

I was looking forward to receiving these molds (I ordered 3), but the description failed to mention they make 8 Oz hamburgers. I think I would have ordered the slider molds to use less meat, but even those do not indicate the amount of meat to be used. Very disappointed in the description of the product on the web site.

Nonstick Burger Mold Makes BIG Burgers
by Gary, WA
September 22, 2011

This is a great idea. The construction is solid, the coating looks fine. The hollow center burger this makes is great to grill as it does not swell in the center like a large flat burger patty will do. I was concerned about it making 1/2 lb burgers, but decided to give it a try. I got 6lbs of ground beef and carefully made the burgers as small as I could and got 10 burgers from the 6lbs, or .6lb per patty. These are nice patties, and cook up great but are much too large for a normal person to eat. If they made one that created a 1/3lb patty, I would recommend it if it was priced more realistically. With ground shipping, it was well over $20, so very expensive for a couple of small pieces of bent and coated sheet metal.

Overpriced

I have only good things to say about the product, although I only used it once on one burger to try it out. Seems like it would be more useful for someone who is making a whole grill-full of burgers. For someone who only makes a couple of burgers at a time, I don't think it is worth its price. I ordered it without really giving that much thought. It's very durable, so I'll have a long time to get my money's worth!

Burger is too thick! I really want a 5-6 oz burger. Mold is nice and diameter is perfect, but need to be able to adjust thickness as desired. Could you make another lid to give us this option for thinner burgers? This lid (press) does not allow any options. Great idea, but too big.

thick, juicy burgers

This burger mold is so good for all who like big, juicy burgers. If you like them slim and edges crispy, this isn't for you. However, if you do like them this way, and you have a crown on your cooked burgers, you could use the same principle, and indent the middle of raw patty before cooking. This handy gadget would also make great meatloaf patties. YUMMO!

Wouldn't purchase again

This only makes 8 oz burgers, which are HUGE! It does not work on a smaller size burger. Although it's nonstick, I could not get the burgers out without plastic wrap. I would not purchase this again.

1/2 lb burger is a little much for most in my family. 1/3 lb would be a little more appriopriate.

The molds make burgers that are just too big. I tried using half the amount of hamburger, and still ended up with the same results. Should have bought the smaller one.

Nonstick Burger Mold
by KAREN, FL
September 25, 2011

When I saw this for the first time I thought I would need a big amount of hamburger to press a patty, but I used it last night and it worked great. It is very easy to clean. I found another use for it too. If you want to melt a small amount of butter etc., you can put this on top of the smallest cooking pan in the 10 piece anodized cooking pans set and use it as a double boiler. I really like this hamburger mold. Thank You Karen Davis

Since I love a big burger, this is great for me. My husband would prefer a smaller burger so for a compromise I serve his bunless but with all the condiments

I take care of two developmentally disabled women who love hamburgers. This makes the perfect burger for them. They insist on well done and these burgers cook evenly so they are not dry on the edges.

This patty press is much better made then I thought it would be, so it solved the main problem I was having with burgers; I only use ground turkey and the patties always crumble and fall apart, this has fixed my dilemma. Thanks for a great product. Ronnie from Grand Prairie, TX

I like the concept of this item, but for me and my family, I think it makes too large of a burger. I would be interested in a smaller version . . . say, about a 4 oz burger?
