Works great making nice round brown crust on bottom as well as top. A light coat of baker's spray applied to pan before adding fat-free dough prevents sticking.

This pan is made of blued steel. It takes care similar to that of a cast iron skillet. Since there's no mesh holes in the pan, wet dough can be final-proofed in the pan without sticking. I pre-treated it with butter and baked it for a while. Haven't washed it since new. It doesn't look pretty, but bread hasn't stuck to it yet. I like it, and recommend it.
