As a stroke survivor, I'm disabled. I only have the full use of my left side, disabilities including my right hand. The engine red KitchenAide stand mixer is both practical and beautiful. I made muffins in it last night. Changing the beater was easy, and the 5-quart bowl made the mixing a breeze. Clean up was no problem at all. I really enjoy using this machine and would recommend it to everyone.

I LOVE COOKING.COM. I DON'T HOLD YOU RESPONSABLE FOR THE LACK OF QUALITY THAT KITCHENAID NOW PUTS INTO THEIR MIXERS.
IN THE PAST IT WAS THE BEST, AND LASTED APPROX. 20 YEARS, AND CARRIED A LIFETIME GUARANTEE. NOW THEY ARE JUST NOT THE SAME QUALITY. I HAVE LET KITCHENAID KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. I HAVE NO CHOICE, BECAUSE I HAVE 5 BOWLS, AND FOUR BEATERS. THAT IS WHY I KEEP USING THIS MIXER.
I DECORATE CAKES, AND USE THIS PRODUCT FOR ICINGS, AND CAKE MIXES.

I paid a little more because I wanted the appliance to blend with kitchen decor as well as being the "best." I was not disappointed. It's gorgeous and works beautifully. It arrived in perfect condition within 5 days. It's very heavy and sturdy. Have placed a plastic mat underneath so that I could move it aroung more easily.

This mixer fulfills all my expectations. It does the job with ease, handling heavy batters with no problem at all.

Because it is heavy, it doesn't move across the counter as my old mixer did, and the various beaters than came with it have all been used and appreciated, too.

THIS MIXER IS SO SIMPLE TO USE! IT DOES EVERYTHING A PROFESSIONAL MIXER CAN DO WITHOUT THE PROFESSIONAL PRICE TAG. IT'S A GREAT ADDITION TO MY KITCHEN AND HAS MADE MY TIME IN THE KITCHEN GO A LITTLE SMOOTHER.
I CAN'T WAIT TO BUY MORE ATTACHMENTS!

I love Kitchenaid Mixers, but this new one is already starting to sound like it's struggling after just a few weeks use (granted, it was heavy use, but my old Kitchenaid has lasted 20+ years!

This one has issues.

I've only used the mixer twice and I'm just getting used to it. So far I find it cumbersome and difficult to operate. Overall, I think I prefer my Sunbeam hand mixer. Both times I've used the mixer, it vibrated noticeably and seemed to struggle to mix a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough.

Best mixer I have ever owned! Love the color, stainless steel bowl, heavy duty construction, and all accessories. Kneading dough is child's play - easy and quick. Sure cuts down on manual kneading time!

I finally have my KitchenAid!
by Janice, AB
May 17, 2008

I have been wanting a tangerine KitchenAid Artisan mixer for the longest time and was not able to locate one anywhere in Canada. I finally found the Cooking.com website and decided to try getting my KitchenAid online. I've been thrilled with the whole experience -- prompt service, smooth cross border delivery, and no surprises on charges. My beautiful mixer arrived safely and I've been enjoying it ever since. I've recently had heart surgery and have become a bit obsessive about heart healthy foods but dislike onerous preparation. My KitchenAid lets me enjoy home cooking and baking while controlling sodium and transfat content. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and look forward to years of healthy eating thanks to the ease of using my Artisan mixer.

I am very happy with my new mixer and just wish I had purchased one many years earlier. I have started making whole grain yeast breads for my husband and I and the mixer is a real time saver.

A versatile and convenient appliance
by Marion, LA

The stand mixer allows such a hands free opportunity . The home cook can quickly place her hands on other ingredients while the appliance is in operation. It's beautiful and sturdy. The attachments also provide so many different options. Am really looking forward to giving it a workout during the upcoming holidays. Marion M.

The gold standard for home stand mixers

When my children set up their own kitchens I made sure they had two things: a cast iron skillet by Lodge and a Kitchen Aid Mixer. Iconic, multi-purpose, reliable.

5-qt. stand KitchenAid stand mixer

My first use of the mixer was making a double batch of chocolate chunk cookies. I was amazed at the speed and power the mixer had creaming the initial ingredients. The choice of speeds adds to the versatility of the mixer. Only downside for me is how heavy it is to move. It's a good thing it's attractive because it has to stay on the counter, no way I could move it each time I want to use it. Cooking.com's price was $100 less than the department store price and that doesn't include the $20 rebate and free magazine subscription that I would not have gotten had I bought it at the store! Overall, I'm delighted with both the mixer and cooking.com

New KitchenAid Makes Me Smile!
by gwen, MD

I've had a 4 qt. KitchenAid Stand Mixer for years but wanted a larger and newer one as I leave it on my counter and the old one looked its age and was the standard white color available at the time it was purchased. It has happily provided our family with cakes, cookies, bread etc for all occasions. HOWEVER, the new tangerine colored, 5 quart Mixer is a work of art and everyone comments on it when they enter the kitchen. I have some orange and green tilework on the sink backsplash and the Mixer makes those colors pop. Of course I bought it mainly for function and KitchenAid doesn't disappoint. I only have KitchenAid appliances, both large and small. Believe it or not I'm keeping BOTH Mixers on the counter and often using them both simultaneously.

It's worth waiting for a good rebate and sale to come up. I paid only 5.99 for shipping and found two rebates totallying 60.00. Coupled with the sale on this site, it was the very best place to buy the very best mixer. I'm really pleased and impressed. Note: majestic yellow is a creamy, fair yellow. One you might find in a baby's room. There are other yellows that are bright and taxi colored.

Loved the weight on the mixer. Makes sure that your mixer does its job and not move around. Attachments that came with the mixer were easy to use and made short work of mixing.

My wife and I have been using KitchenAid for years. It is an amazing machine. Mixes everything under the sun without missing a beat. it goes from something as simple as beating eggs to mixing my thick homemade cheesecakes. My mother had hers handed down to her and we plan on doing the same.

difficult to work with the dough/batter while running -- miss the old Sunbeam for that. Powerful which is good, huge in size which is not good. Necessary for the large dough for communion bread recipes I am doing. Did not like the cookbook/directions because they didn't really help you use the mixer. I have made bread, cookies, a nut bread, and a cake but had to adapt, without feeling I had any control, my old recipies. When I used the recipes from your book, I didn't feel like they matched the speeds you suggested in the front of the book.

KitchenAid Artisan Black Stand Mixer
by Anthony, IL
December 25, 2007

My husband asked me if I would like a stand mixer for Christmas. I told him I knew just the one I wanted because I had been looking at the KitchenAid Black Artisan Mixer for a long time. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. I told him I wanted it before Christmas so I could use it for my Christmas baking. It was so easy to use, and made making large batches of cookies so simple. I made the best pie dough that I have ever made with this mixer. I would recommend this mixer to anyone who wants a stand mixer.

Cooking Tip From the Food Network Kitchens

Stand mixers can definitely be tough to manuever sometimes, so for easy cleanup and transportation, keep your mixer on a tray or cookie sheet. This will make it easier to move around your countertop, and if you make any mess, you can just wash the tray.
