Strain hot liquids without the use of a colander. This 3.5-qt. pan has an ingeniously designed lid with built-in holes (both small and large) that let you drain liquids; just press down firmly on the lid while draining. The pan also features DuPont's Autograph 2 nonstick coating inside and out for enduring performance, superior durability and ease of cleaning. It's made of hard-anodized aluminum for fast, even heat distribution with no hot spots that can scorch food, and incorporates 18/10 stainless steel and silicone rubber Anolon SureGrip handles for a comfortable, confident and cool grip when lifting and carrying. The clear, tempered glass lid features the same type of handle, and has a large loop for easier grasping. Handles are oven-safe to 400°F.
PRO: 3.5 qt is the excellent size for steaming vegetables when used with an internal collapsable strainer.
PRO: Perferated holes on the lid allow easy straining yet when the lid is rotated retains retains the heat in the pan for cooking.
CON: Rubber handle grip, while very good at retaing the heat of the pan handle, became loose after extended use. Consider an alternate adhesive
like silicone or flexible epoxy

The pouring holes are definitely a great convenience. Also the size of the bottom of the pan is a perfect fit for the top of my ceramic cooktop stove. I needed new cookware but did not want to purchase a set and appreciate that cooking.com offers the option of buying an individual pan, et al.
I was one of those unfortunate souls who purchased the TV version of this pot. This is significantly better. Pasta never sticks, even without salt and it cleans up quite easily. Also, because the lid if ventilated, it boils quickly with no spill over
This pan is well balanced and the soft, cool handles are great. It steams medium quantities of vegetables very well, even though there is no basket insert. I like the tall, narrow profile better than the wide, low one on most pots this size ... easier to fit on the stove and I think conducts the heat better/faster throughout the contents.
I had a similar one, but the nonstick stuff was not cutting it. This one is great. I am a huge fan of the lid w/ holes and would have a very hard time living w/o it. I do just about everything in it--noodles, rice, veggies, you name it. Handles could be a bit bigger, fatter...would be harder for someone w/ limited grip or arthritis to hold and drain...using mitts would not work w/ the lid handle unless you just held the glass part. Overall good product.

Because of their concentrated tomato flavor, sun-dried tomatoes are excellent for quick-cook sauces. Buy the kind that are oil-packed in jars for the best taste.
